The Edgewater Resort & Spa

"Resort is great. Just know that while they list having 24 hour airport shuttle, this is blatantly false advertising. They have no shuttle. They will be happy to direct you to a cab for $25 per person, oh also they only take cash. If you didn’t bring NZE cash, there is an ATM handy, but expect a long line for the one ATM. After a long travel day, delayed flight, 90 minutes to get through customs, this unexpected extra $100 for the 4 of us and extra wait for the ATM was very frustrating. Also plan on $25 per person back to the airport, and yes it is under 10 min drive. The resort itself was great, the free breakfast is very basic, cereal, toast, fruit, mini muffins. Other options are available for purchase. Overall, can be a great experience, just go into it knowing what to expect getting there from the airport."

"A very well maintained establishment and spotlessly clean with friendly staff. Complimentary shuttle runs between Club Raro and their sister hotel Edgewater which has a very sandy beach. Ours was a brief overnight stay with generous dinner servings and left too early for our flight to experience breakfast. Swim up bar looked popular."

"Staying with Jane and her staff at Cook’s Oasis was a treat. There were convenient food options on either side, a liquor store across the street, and a store in a short distance. Compared to many parts of the island, this is a really central place to be if you are or aren’t renting a car. I was on foot and it was ideal. I’m also a solo female traveler, and Cook’s Oasis was a safe, and friendly place to be. Staying here means supporting a local family rather than a big company, and the folks are really lovely!"

"Excellent location - a short walk to the Nuri night markets, which you can do along the beach. We were met personally by the manager Ana who explained everything to us, and checked in during our stay to make sure we had enough coffee, towels, etc. Very good amenities in the rooms. Highly recommend."

"All the Staff, the room, location and dining were all excellent. Access to the marine sanctuary was incredible and the kayaks and SUPS were well maintained. Will try to return in March or April next time."

"Loved the fact we could have 3 connecting rooms, perfect for our family of 5. Clean rooms, aircon and fans. Beds super comfortable and a balcony on all rooms. It was a quiet property with the most amazing snorkelling spot. So many tropical fish and turtles. The marine guide was awesome too. Staff super friendly. Loved this place, we will be back."
