"Worst hotel I’ve been to in Sri Lanka and completely overpriced. The pictures must either be well PSed or are from two centuries ago as everything is old, run down and dirty now. We were the only guests on both the day of arrival and departure which was a bit weird and the staff was talking outside our door the entire night. The a/c is from the 18 hundreds and louder than a fighter jet (metaphorically speaking). I can highly not recommend this place!!!"

"A wonderful stay at Mansala, with very friendly and helpful hosts. We had a room with balcony and two double beds for us and our son. The owner was able to arrange our safari, taxi and trip to the Elephant Transit home. All very close by. Excellent communication. "Such a lovely little place to stay for the night. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff were so kind and lovely, the home cooked food was some of the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka. They also arranged a safari for us, we had a jeep to ourselves, and saw many animals (elephants, monkeys, mongoose). All in all a fabulous experience, and incredible value for money. "

"Sehr schön gelegene Lodge mit sehr schöner Aussicht. Leider hatten wir in der 2. Nacht Ratten im Zelt was weniger schön war..es wurde sich aber schnell darum gekümmert. Zudem sind die Einheimischen in der Umgebung anscheinend sehr Partyfreudig, weswegen es manchmal bis 23 Uhr sehr sehr laut war! Schade… aber alles zusammen ein guter Aufenthalt."

"The hotel was absolutely amazing. The service was superb and the food was delicious. We enjoyed our stay very much.We loved the beds and the pillows , we slept really well. Also a special mention to Vishwa the naturalist who was outstanding with her informative wildlife tours which my 9 year old son enjoyed very much. The swimming pool was exceptionally good with a very natural feel and it was not too crowded. A great place to watch birds as you could see bee eaters, bulbuls etc and even monitor lizards. There is so much more to this place and we loved our stay there. We hope to return one day in the future."
