If you don't mind shared and co-ed bath facilities except for a few rooms o, the first of three floors, no elevators, and communicating through text messaging this is just the right spot for you."

"1) Don’t let them give you one of the two rooms close to the elevator on the second floor if you’re a light sleeper. The elevator machine room (door labelled “mechanical”) is right there and you hear the noticable”Brrrrrrrrrrr!” from the hydraulic elevator pump every time somebody uses it throughout the night. 2) Tub drain was clogged. Showering meant standing in 2 inches of dirty water. Told them about it and they unclogged it however that only lasted for about 2 minutes. 3) Clean the stairwell. I don’t know what that is that dripped on the wall between the first and second floor, along with the coagulated blob in the corner on the first floor of the stairwell, but I have an idea. It was there the entire week I was which means not once did somebody go check on that stairwell and clean it. Positive: The breakfast was decent, with a good selection including DIY waffle maker."

"This stay was great! The beds were very comfortable, very clean and the hospitality was perfect. This hotel was very close to the Mt. Whiteface auto road and not that far from Lake Placid that was on our list of places to visit. I would recommend this to anyone and I would come back again."

"Everything was great, except we didn't have the email details saved, when we arrived we didn't have the access code and didn't have a signal , so we had to drive until we had a signal. Live and learn. We had a great time."
