2/5 Poor

Disliked: Room comfort
Stay only if it is necessary
The property is quite far from the main road, so getting food at night is not ideal. The property is clean enough but as it is quite old, there are parts I was not comfortable with. One thing that we could not tolerate was the lack of locks in the screen door. On a warm summer night, and no air conditioning, we wanted to leave the glass sliding door open but have the screen door closed (obviously to not have insects come in) but doing this means ANYONE can come in our room anytime in the night. This made us very uncomfortable and ended up leaving the property a few mins after we entered. It is tolerable for the price for anyone with a guard dog with them, or perhaps in the cooler months where you don’t need a breeze to sleep with.

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay, even more so as we could bring our dog, was so peaceful and quiet, on lovely countryside grounds and handy 15mins to Cessnock for supplies, we booked a basic room and found was small but very clean and comfortable and perfect for the price and 2 nights away exploring the beautiful areas, and catching up with our friends and family. Also thanks so much Paula for being so lovely to help ammend our stay when we had unexpected circumstances change our dates.

Beautiful setting, ideal for dog owners. Terrific staff, Manager could not have been kinder or nicer. Cabins beautifully appointed. All this at a reasonable price. Well done !
