Hotel Andino is perfectly located in the out squirts of La Mariscal, the bohemian district of Quito. It is walking distant to Plaza Foch, the center of the nightlife in Quito, ecovia (metro buses) and lots of stores, SuperMaxxi (Ecuador’s upscale Safeway, QFC, Winn Dixie or Kroger) among those. The owner, Miguel Angel, is a wonderful person, he was always available and answered all our questions in a friendly and thorough way, definitely he made our stay very pleasant. The room was very basic but good enough, our bed sheets were replaced every single day!! It had cable and a decent size bathroom. They served a complete breakfast for free with refills!! The same type at Denny’s would cost about $10. Although tipping in Ecuador is not mandatory, I tipped the waitress every single morning. I like the family environment in the dining room, all guests greeted everybody else. I’ll definitely stay at Hotel Andino on my next visit to Quito.
