"Friendly and accommodating staff, lovely breakfast, comfortable room with fantastic external view, and the property is set in beautiful surroundings."
"Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing with lots of choice.
They phoned to check if we wanted an evening meal ordering as the kitchen was due to close shortly. We didn’t but arrived in time for a dessert and cheese board all of which were lovely.
Dogs were welcomed and easy safe parking
Only slight negatives were the bathroom was very basic and quite dated and the noise of an external fan could be heard all night through open bedroom window
We would...
"The pub was pleasant and lively and we enjoyed a good dinner. The room was on the small side but it had all the amenities we needed. The breakast was freshly cooked and excellent."

"Lovely characterful country house set in the beautiful South Downs National Park, but within easy reach of many other places of interest. Car needed to take full advantage of the location. Owners and staff very welcoming and bedroom comfortable (superior double room). Good breakfast served and a choice of pubs for evening meal within easy reach (by car)"
"This pib in a lovely village was a great place to stay. The service was noticeably good. The food was gourmet and the room as well equipped as any we have stayed in."
"Lovely propery and helpful owner. Arrived to find a plate of delicious brownies, bottle of wine and sausages and bacon in the freezer. The spare bed had been set up in the main bedroom to suit our sleeping arrangements. However, it could do with a deep clean as it was quite dusty with many spider webs. We could see a thick layer of dust on the beams and had to clean the towel rail before putting our flannels on it.Wi-fi was not brilliant though we were not there much to use it. Uploading videos taken at Wickham Festival was lengthy and laboured to say the least. We had a great time and enjoyed our stay."
Keeper's Lodge A Dog Friendly Escape To The Country
10/10 Excellent
"Delightfully decorated, clean and comfortable space to spend away from home. Everything we needed and more! Our hosts Peter and Nicky were attentive and friendly and we felt so welcomed. Our dog enjoyed the garden and she was safe and secure in the enclosed space. A place to return to and tell our friends about. Thank you both "
