"The hotel is close to the train station in Tainan and so we booked it for this convenience. We were able to store our luggage on site both before our room was ready and after we had checked out which was very important to us. The hotel was clean and tidy but the room was quite basic. Wonderful place to stay!
"This was my first trip to Taiwan and I’d highly recommend the Shangri-La hotel. All staff speaks English and are very high-service oriented. For example, there weren’t any microwaves available in the rooms, so housekeeping offered to reheat our leftovers from a restaurant and served it to us beautifully plated. The hotel is situated next to the local train station so it’s convenient to get to via public transportation. There’s also a big mall next door with great restaurants as well as good quality fast food restaurants, bakeries that serve coffee & espresso drinks. There’s a bridge over the train tracks so you can easily walk across to the central district of Tainan which is way more busy & congested. There was a slight problem with our original room, they were so concerned and fixed the problem immediately. "
