Answering the phone when you have guest traveling from out of country, and to a very remote location is standard basic custom service. "Really great staff who really know the area and cultivate the farm. They can give you information on ecology you won't find outside of guided tour groups in the park, and there's also yoga. The property is beautiful and it is easy to see birds. It is a pretty primitive property and so you should be expecting bug bites and no modern comforts. Bathing in rainwater is amazing, but it is also not warm. Also the ants really bite- I was itchy for a week afterward. So be careful. "

"We loved our stay at Cabinas Tropicales! We had a big room with private bathroom that easily housed us and our two medium sized dogs. JeanCarlos the manager was super friendly and helpful, and we also chatted with the nice cleaner who had a great dog named Fiona who wore a helmet and goggles to come to work in the morning. The shared kitchen was well-stocked and the fridge available for our food. The property is gated so the dogs could wander around. The location of Cabinas Tropicales is perfect! An easy walk to the water for swimming, or hanging out on the pier with the locals who were fishing as the sun set. There are several restaurants very close and we also used the cruiser bikes one evening to toodle around the cool little town of Puerto Jimenez. Great empty beaches close by, and tours to Corcovado leave from down the street. We'll be back!"
