SHORE HAVEN is the prime location for those seeking fantastic views and attractive décor. The central location in Crystal Beach is close to groceries, activities and restaurants. Inside this charming home, the open concept living and dining area, with high ceilings and lots of windows, feels light and airy. A large well-equipped kitchen will excite the cook in your group. There are two bedrooms, one with a king, the other with a queen and twin bunks, and two full baths in this one-level home. The sleeper sofa opens into a very comfortable queen. Enjoy your morning coffee while taking in the great view from the deck, or relax after a long day at the beach and watch the amazing sunset. Ahhhh. Life's a beach!

Please note, Hurricane Ike forever changed the footprint of Bolivar Peninsula, therefore some homes listed as beachfront may have a lot and/or street in front of it. This is the result of the uncertainty following the storm where some property owners elected to participate in the government buy out of lots that fell in what later would be considered within the vegetation line established by the State of Texas and subsequently included as part of the public beach. Not all property owners participated. Those homes where the property in front of it are part of the buyout are considered beachfront even though to the east or west of it there may be a home closer to the beach.

I can't say enough about the kitchen, it was stocked with everything you can imagine. The view from the deck was superb. We sat out for hours listening & watching the waves. The only con was that we had to hang a blanket on the window above the bed because the neighbors behind us would leave their outside decorative string lights on all night, it lit up our room like an landing strip, it was bad. Overall wonderful stay and will stay again. The walk to the beach very short distance.

The house was very clean and well organized. Large kitchen with everything you need. The only negative would be the carpet little dingy and the outside shower would be nice to be enclosed. Cobb provided great service. When we arrived we had a problem with the bathroom sinks not draining, but they immediately sent someone over. Would definitely stay here again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love Shore Haven, this was our second time staying there. The house is big enough for a family but for two it's perfect as well. The big front deck has the best view of the waves and of course you can hear them crashing as well. The house is a couple of minutes from the Big Store or any of the restaurants. The house offers most anything you could need, we love it. We were sad to see that it's for sale and actually spent alot of time trying to figure out a way to buy it for yourselves. The house is a short walk from the beach or if you have alot to carry you may need to drive, we've done both. Overall you won't be disappointed.

When we arrived at the house, it smelled horrible. The trash can had food stuck inside with a trash bag put on top of it. There was grease on the stovetop and smoked every time we put a pot on to boil water. There was a wet plunger in the bathroom floor. The sinks in the bathroom and kitchen were all very slow draining. The furniture has not been updated in more than 3 years. It hs seen better days.

We enjoyed sitting on the deck, reading & walks on the beach. The house offered everything we could ask for. We are already looking to book this one again.

How ever there was an ant problem; they come up through the toilet in the bathroom with the 2 door access.. that is my only complaint how ever I know that ants are pesky little things and can come from anywhere! Another down fall was on the last day we where there, a camper trailer parked in the view of the beach from the balcony (yes I know its a public beach) that is a part I disliked but I would stay again regardless.

We could not have asked for a better cabin. It also had a WONDERFUL view. There is nothing like waking up early in the morning and walking out to see the sun coming up and the waves crashing on the beach. We have had many different birthday themes in the past, but I do believe that this one tops all those prior. I not only have recommended to my family and friends to rent from Cobb and the Shore Haven Cabin, but we will definitely be back. Thank you Cobb for everything!!
