This beach house has just about everything you need or want. I had to make a birthday cake for my daughter and they even had a hand mixer.Plenty of towels, paper goods and cleaning supplies. The AC works great and was very comfortable. Location was nice and as always less crowded during the week. Sliding door was extremely difficult to open and close especially for my 7 year old daughter and our 50 something year old shoulders. Our family will definitely be back. You can tell the owners want you to enjoy your stay and come and stay again.

A Cottage on the Beach!

Absolutely loved this cottage! Nicely decorated, very clean, located beach front and beautiful views! Highly recommend and we'll be back as well!

Get away with family

Winter getaway

Wonderful house! Everything was clean and ready for us when we arrived. Had one of the best views of the gulf. Just need a bigger sign with the address was a little hard to find, but overall highly recommend!

New Year's on the Beach

We loved our stay! It was so nice being directly on the beach. We were constantly going back and forth from the beach to the house for meals, grabbing something we needed, etc. We were impressed with the sea shells we collected in this area of the beach. The house is away from crowds which was great with vacationing with my Autistic kiddo.

Beach House

Great property. Beach is just beyond the yard. House is open floor plan, plenty of space for big families to enjoy time together inside or out. Loved the captain chairs on the deck to enjoy the elevated views and breeze.

Wonderful beach house

We had a great time relaxing and playing at the beach. Having the beach house so close made it so convenient for bathroom breaks and to get a quick snack. The deck is great for watching sunrises and sunsets. Lots of space for us and the kitchen was perfect for making family meals.

Beautiful beach property

We enjoyed our stay at this property so much! Everything was perfect, from the location right on the beach, to the perfectly stocked and cleaned house, to the comfortable bed, to the excellent air conditioning. We loved the clean beautiful beach and we found lots of shells and sea glass, and we saw an amazing assortment of birds. You will not be sorry you rented this property.

1st Stay on the Bolivar Peninsula!

Absolutely fantastic! Perfect location for myself, spouse, m-i-l. and our 15 lb Malshi. Great location without the hustle/bustle of Galveston island. Casa Del Mar comes fully equiped. We greatly enjoyed the local atmosphere of the Big Store, Nauti Pig, and adult beverage locations.....

Beach Oasis

The house was beautiful and the views were absolutely immaculate! My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything about the house was perfect except for the sliding glass door being hard to open and the mosquitoes were bad first thing in the morning and late at night. But even with those two little issues, it was well worth the stay. We will definitely be booking again!

Great stay

This property was very clean, well-equipped and exactly as advertised. The outdoor porch and seats were perfect and the beach access was great. Since there is a large overgrown and uncut area on the road side of the property, we did have some trouble with mosquitoes. Be sure to bring spray.

Steps from Paradise

Cottage Del Mar is nicely appointed, it's clear the owners have put a lot of work into it. The access to the beach is such a big deal for our family. You can walk outside, down the steps, through a small yard, onto a pathway and 20 yards from the slab you're on the beach. Very few properties on Bolivar have a pathway directly from yard to beach.

Fabulous!

We loved the beach house! It had everything you needed and more! Couldn’t get any closer than this home. You can sit on the deck and feel like you are right at the beach. Close for kids to play in the sand and a short walk back for lunch. Great yard area for our little dog. Absolutely loved the separate entrance to the master suite. Will definitely need the screen placed underneath when the weather gets warmer. We hope to return and stay again soon.

Beach Lovers

We enjoyed our trip. We didn't have any problems with the property. The home is beautifully decorated, well stocked. The only issue we had was the mosquitoes were horrible and were swarming us the day we left. We literally were covered with bites while loading the car then fought them off most of the way home. It would be nice to have some lounging chairs for the deck area below by the picnic table; but other than that no suggestions or issues. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Great home and location

We have visited Bolivar Peninsula many times and this is by far the best place for our particular needs. Check in and check out was a breeze. House is well appointed with furniture and kitchen supplies. Even has some board games to play. Quiet location. Great views. Just a few steps to the beach. Unless I am just technically challenged, one of my warnings would be to come prepared to log on to streaming services since the home provides Roku tv. We were hoping to see some events on cable tv but were unable to. We hope to return.

Getaway reset

We had to make this a quick vaca because our first one was cancelled due to health issues. We almost cancel this one because we had three deaths in the family and the final blow was my 20 year old niece. We decided that we had to go in between funerals ect. and it was just what we all needed. My daughter in law and a adopted son has never seen the ocean and we could not cancel also for there sake. The drive is 7 hrs. but the location was more than we had hopped for...... The house was beautify. It was all it was advertised and more. The lawn was well manicured, the house was in MINT condition! We all had a great time and didnt want to leave.... Thank you for making our reset getaway a beautiful one....... We will be back soon.....
