The best area to stay in Police is the town centre, particularly around Masarykovo náměstí (Masaryk Square).

This area is the heart of Police and is very walkable, featuring historic architecture and the main concentration of shops, restaurants, and cafes. The square itself is a central landmark, and many of the town's key sights, such as the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and the Police Monastery, are just a short stroll away.

For couples, staying in the town centre offers a convenient and pleasant experience. You'll be able to enjoy leisurely walks through the historic streets, dine at local eateries, and easily visit attractions without needing transport. The central location means you're never far from a cosy spot for a coffee or a glass of local wine.

Solo travellers will also find the town centre to be an excellent base. Its compact nature means everything is easily accessible on foot, great for exploring at your own pace.

The best time to visit Police is typically during the late spring (May to June) and early autumn (September to October).

These months offer pleasant weather, with mild temperatures and less rainfall than the summer. You'll find it comfortable for exploring the outdoors, such as the surrounding Jeseníky Mountains, and enjoying the local sights without the intense heat or larger crowds of peak summer.

For those planning to hike or cycle, late spring is particularly good as the landscape is lush and green. The trails are generally clear, and the days are long enough for extended outdoor activities.

Early autumn is also lovely, with the changing colours of the foliage providing a beautiful backdrop for walks and drives.
