⚠️WARNING ⚠️!!!!!!!
We knew we would be arriving late so just wanted somewere reasonably priced, clean & to put our head down. Our room was on the 2nd floor and there was no lift (we had lots of luggage). Receptionist offered us a room on the ground floor which we accepted as was 9.30pm and we were both tired. Upon arrival to the room... it could only be described as Drab dark small and smelt off mould. Curtains not hung properly.The kettle was full of mount which stank. We asked for a different kettle in which the recptionist kindly got for us along with an extra pillow. We ended up sleeping with a sheet over us as the duvet was non existent. We both couldnt wait to leave the next morning. We ended up with bed bug bites. Poor drainage from shower. Our whole floor was soaking. It's a far cry from 3 stars. I'd say it's motel standard. At £60 it was over priced!!! Wont be back. Wouldnt recommend.

Hot and noisy hotel with friendly staff.
Noisy hotel due to being next to a noisy road. On hot day, it's a problem now it's either windows open and hear all the noise or have windows closed and be sweaty. Overall not recommended for hot days. Stay away in summer. Having said all this, the hotel staff is very friendly and helpful!

We arrived at the hotel only to find it was closed for the whole New Year weekend. Had to quickly find alternative accommodation with less than an hour before curfew kicked in, not happy at all.

Stayed a night. Clean hotel with free parking. Friendly and very helpful staff. Highly recommended if you are looking for a hotel to stop over and rest in you long drive journey.

Do not stay- and expect no help if you do stay!
Firstly, the hotel is very hard to find with no lit up signage if you arrive at night time. Once we arrived, at 9:50pm we checked and went to our room. It stank of smoke. We went to ask to be moved but reception shut at 10pm and we were not given the out of hours number at check in. Surely they could give customers this on a piece of paper at Check-In? Hotels.com booking confirmation says check in until 10:30 so something has gone wrong here. Begrudgingly we stayed the night as it was late to move hotels and in the morning complained to reception. The young man on reception was very unhelpful and would not/couldn’t give the managers name. I then emailed the hotel manager twice to discuss before writing this review but have been totally ignored. This is a cheap hotel but not very cheerful. There are no phones in the rooms to even call the out of hours number so make sure you have your mobile and are happy to use it abroad! I would have preferred to resolve this direct with the hotel but have been left with no choice but to write a negative review having not heard from them or been contacted.

Not happy..
I wasn't pleased that my request of ground floor rooms hadn't been granted, and was informed that this was owing to the fault of a hotel receptionist .. and not unavailability or Hotels.com. We arrived soaking wet and tired and as there is no elevator in the hotel, it was extremely tiresome to have to carry a lot of luggage up two flights of stairs.

Restful stay
Good budget hotel in reasonable location within Poitiers for en route travel. Comfortable but our bathroom door had damage that prevented closure. Made Reception aware of this and sure will be resolved.

Good stopover hotel.
This hotel is a good overnight stay for travellers. Clean and tidy and very similar to any other Kyriad Hotel. Restaurant is adequate but not exceptional, there is a good buffet "Chinese " across the road which I would recommend. Not far from the main roads for continuing your journey. Basically it does what I think it's designed for, a nights rest before moving on.

The receptionist was friendly and helpful. Our room was a good size with a generous size bed. The hotel is by a busy junction but, with the window closed, the room was very quiet. It was a shame that the hotel restaurant wasn't open the night we arrived, but there was an Italian restaurant nearby, which we thought was quite good and reasonably priced. The breakfast staff was very good; they made sure everything was available for the guests and kept checking and replacing/refilling if necessary

First impressions of this hotel on arrival are quite good, cleanliness is good and rooms are a nice size, however the food when served was very disappointing, my wife's duck was seared on a griddle to the point when a axe would have been more useful than a knife and the accompanying corgettes were redused to a mush, my meal was also a similar ordeal, the following morning my wife and I Had both had a restless sleep I think maybe the matteress or the bed had seen better days

Good spot!
It was a quick overnight spot, we were impressed with the restaurant. the triple glazing on the bedroom windows shut out any sound from the busy junction outside of the hotel. It also has a quick and easy connection with the the South side of the City and the A10 exit to Angouleme.

Average stay
We were meeting friends in a nearby restaurant and chose Kyriad because we had recently stayed in the Kyriad at Clermont-Ferrand where the room was large, with good quality bedlinen , a bath and a really warm welcome. Unfortunately the room at Potiers was tiny, bedlinen scratchy, no bath and welcome average. When we left in the morning no one put their head up as they were too busy organising housekeeping lists. Had I not turned whilst going out of the door and said goodbye, no one would have said anything to me.

Passable for short stay.
Access to bathroom impeded by the 2 beds squashed into a rather small room. Not possible to open door fully which is quite annoying for most people to have to squeeze in. The bathroom did have some useful features for disabled people but most disabilities would make it impossible to enter. Bedding is good and tea and coffee facilities appreciated.
