"La Casita is a wonderful oasis literally only steps away from the gorgeous Playa Hermosa and a short drive from Playa Coco. Lina personally greeted us with a warm welcome to her ultra safe and comfortable casita and went above and beyond to make dinner reservations for us at a wonderful restaurant a short walk from the front gate the night we arrived. On the walk from the Casita to the beach we were surrounded by a vast array of gorgeous native plants and flowers throughout the property and met Howler Monkeys in the trees overhead, iguanas, beautiful butterflies, harmonious birds, mangrove crabs, and other amazing neighbors. We loved our stay at La Casita and could not have asked for a better or warmer welcome to Costa Rica than by Lina. We highly recommend this location for any couple looking for the perfect romantic stay on the gorgeous pacific coast of Northern Costa Rica. Pura Vida!!!"
"The highlight of staying at this hotel is the beautiful gardens which surround the villas and pool. From our balcony we enjoyed looking out onto flowering tropical plants, palms and listening to the birds sing.
The photos in the ad for this hotel are exactly what you can expect. The villas enjoy the use of a small pool surrounded by beautiful gardens. It is a wonderful space to relax. I'm addition to having beautiful grounds the hotel is only a short five minute walk from the beach.
The villa itself was comfortable and very clean. It had a studio layout with a small couch and table and chairs. The balcony was a highlight for us and we spent time there in the morning and evening when it wasn't too hot.
The stairway up to the villa entrance could be cleaned. I don't think it was swept during our stay and dirt and leaves accumulated over time. At night ants could be seen crawling along the ceiling in the room which was unsettling, but they never bothered us. We learned during our trip to accept the presence of insects in our accommodations as part of life in a tropical climate.
Breakfast was included every morning at the restaurant and it was quite tasty. There were a few different options to choose from and each was accompanied with a plate of fruit and a glass of juice. We did eat dinner at the restaurant on our first day and the food was good but overpriced for what it was.
We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend."

"This was our first trip to Costa Rica and I did far less research than I normally do. I don’t know if it was the quietness of the season or in Playa Hermosa is as sleepy as it seemed. We felt like we stumbled into a great find. The accommodations were very nice, spacious and clean, and in good repair. The location is easy to get to but far enough off the main road to cut down on noise. Super easy access to the favorite beach we found. Hermosa was clean and quiet, almost felt private. We walked down most days, 8 minutes or so. The layout worked great for us, parents and a 21 yr old child, but wouldn’t be as good for 2 couples. The foam top in the main bedroom was far too soft for our liking. You might love it. "
