The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was amazing.
We also got upgraded because there were open rooms and it felt like we had the resort to ourself. So private and quiet with great views and service.

"The location was incredible and the staff were friendly and incredibly accomodating. A chair in my room needed to be replaced and the TV was not fully installed yet, but neither of those things detracted from the experience in any meaningful way. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone traveling to Placencia."
"Can't say enough good things about Alux! My friend and I visited Placencia for our Birthdays and were originally booked at other accomadations. We left the other place after one night and found Alux. What a gem! It is in the heart of the village. Everything is walkable, with lots of options for food, shopping and fun. "What an amazing place! Villas are in a perfect location and very clean. Beach is well maintained even though sargassum was present during our stay, they worked very hard to keep it clean. Food and drinks were top notch. Easy bike ride to village or shuttle service each hour after certain times."

"My family and I enjoyed our short stay in the Namaste apartment at the Belizean Nirvana in Placencia. The apartment was larger than expected with a beautiful veranda overlooking the ocean. When I was researching accommodations, the Belizean Nirvana was one of the few that offered breakfast, which was a plus given that my husband and I traveled with our teen and tween. The hotel was central to all of the restaurants and shops on the island. Barbara and Evan were wonderful and available if we needed them."
