Customer Service was the best we have ever received from any place of stay. Amazing Restaurant/Bar and staff. They really went above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Our treehouse room was better than expected.

Great stay at Mariposa

We loved our stay at Mariposa. It was extremely comfortable--comfy beds and pillows! Everyone was very helpful and nice - great hospitality. The treehouses are beautiful and private. All of our drinks and food were good. There's a nice beach with loungers, chairs, umbrellas and food/beverage service.

This is a beautiful property! Small yet has great amenities. The staff were wonderful! Friendly and helpful they made you feel right at home. Our room was right off the pool and just steps from the beach. Great place to kayak. Clean and comfortable! Located about 10-15 minutes from Placencia.

We loved our stay at the Mariposa Resort. The staff were really attentive, giving us kindly advice on how to deal with the bug bites and itching. The only drawback of this and other properties is it is not walkable to anywhere. Rent a car or golf cart

If you want a romantic secluded get away, this is the place to go. We loved our tree house in the trees. It felt like we had a luxury resort all to ourselves with a 5 star service. The pool was beautiful on the beach with pool side service. The restaurant is top rated and the food made this evident. Any of the seafood is amazing.

This is beautiful property on the Caribbean beach. This is small very private resort with cute restaurant. The service was excellent. The staff was super friendly and caring. I love everything about the place. My husband is suggesting only one improvement to install some railing to the pool.

The staff was exceptional, so sweet, attentive, professional, respectful and so funny. We loved the atmosphere. Please let all the bartenders and servers know how much we loved being there because of them. I can’t remember all there names, Donny was very welcoming, Carlos was always making sure we didn’t need anything. All the others were just as exceptional. Thank you.

The Mariposa was a simple lovely resort I was expecting something bigger and more crowded but this is small currently 11 rooms with an excellent and attentive staff. The pool area and beach in front were nothing fancy but nice. The location seemed perfect- removed enough from the town of placencia to feel quiet and private but close enough to ride the hotel loaner bikes into town and back several times. Food was ok - on par with other places we tried. We were here before the season got too busy so high staff to patron ratio and they were all great! Gladis, George, Oliver, Moises, Ricky, Donny all top notch. Highly recommend for a mid price "resort" Thank You!

The pictures you see online are totally accurate. Its a beautiful resort. The locaton is perfect, about a 15 minute bike ride into placencia. The restaurant is excellent! Loved every meal. The staff are the best. We have never been treated so well. They were always smiling, always friendly. Its a small resort so you really feel comfortable and taken care of. We stayed in #9 and we could watch the sunrise every morning from our balcony. Highly recommend!!

Mariposa is located on the beautiful beach.The resort is very small and creates very cozy and private environment The resort is well maintained very close to local airport. They have little restaurant but we had rental car and explored local Placencia restaurants. The staff is very friendly. We booked treehouse but they have construction on the property grounds. The manager offered for us beachfront room that was quiet and far away from the construction site . We really appreciated the upgrade. We stayed in this resort for a second time and never been disappointed. Thank you all the staff and manger for awesome vocation. We will come back.

We were not too impressed with the restaurant food for dinner. We waited over an hour and the watermelon salad was pretty much just watermelon with maybe a tablespoon of feta and 2 small tomatoes on it. The prices were way too high ! Breakfast, however was good. The staff are friendly and helpful but it takes a long time to get a drink. They also don’t give you complimentary bottle water and the mini fridge is super expensive. Over all the resort is over priced in our opinion.
