Mountain Home with Privacy near Pisgah National Forest.

Known as “Mountain View”, this cabin is located on 64 privately-owned acres atop Mine Mountain, which is about ten minutes from the entrance to Pisgah Forest. The cabin features two bedrooms (1 king and 1 Queen), two baths, a modern kitchen with eat-in island, and a majestic stacked-stone fireplace. The cabin also contains a bunk bed located in a small nook off of the great room (for a total of 4 beds). In addition, this cabin provides Direct TV, a washer and dryer, and a large deck with a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains. The deck features a grill, an outdoor dining area, and plenty of covered seating to take advantage of the beautiful vistas. This cabin is well-suited to groups that include two couples, since the cabin contains two separate guest suites.

Our cabins are professionally cleaned and provided with all linens and towels, a starter supply of soap, toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher and laundry detergent, firewood and propane for the grill.

Secluded forest retreat

My wife and I have stayed at this property several times now. The fact that we’re repeat visitors should speak for itself. If you’re looking for a place to stay that is private, quiet, cozy, and conveniently located, look no further.

Relaxing on the deck, great views, beautiful cabin. Loved the use of the gas grill and the great kitchen. Long drive up the mountain but well worth it.

Terrific cabin in quiet mountains

The inside of this cabin was terrific. Comfortable, clean, modern. But the deck was even better. It was the perfect place to get away from the city and watch the sunset it peace and quiet.

New Year's Mountain Getaway

The Mountain View cabin is exactly everything we wanted for a nice relaxing vacation in the mountains. The cabin was extremely beautiful and very nicely decorated, but the view was absolutely amazing! It was located within minutes to beautiful waterfalls and scenic roadways. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay bringing in 2025.

Beautiful, well maintained Property

The property is very private, clean and comfortable. The large open main room includes the kitchen, dining area, and living room with a beautiful fireplace. There are two separate bedrooms each with their own adjoining bathrooms with shower. The large,partially covered, wrap-around porch is a great place to relax and spend time with friends.We had a wonderful stay, and would happily return to this property.Note: The road up the mountain to this property is very steep and winding with hairpin turns and no guard rails.

Wonderful cabin

We had the best time at this cabin! The views were wonderful. The house was very clean, check in was super simple, directions were spot on and beds were very comfy. We would love to rent this cabin in the future.

Fantastic stay, we’ll be back!

The cabin was exactly as described or better, an extremely comfortable stay and it was perfect to be able to have a nice fire as we prepared dinner. Everything we needed was provided. My suggestion to anyone visiting is to follow the directions very closely to get to the cabin, phone gps does not take you to the right spot!

Beautiful property in a great locstion

Came down with our kids to enjoy the outdoors and this property was perfect. The feel of a cabin with the amenities of full home. Close to best hiking and waterfalls in Pisgah National Forest, only Minutes from Brevard and less than 30 minutes from Hendersonville. We had a great time and would absolutely return

Family Stay

This was a wonderful stay for my family. We’ve stayed at several cabins in Western North Carolina, and while those all had positives of their own, this particular cabin ticked most of our boxes for positivity, including a very private location, a safe place to walk the dog, and the layout of the floor plan. Looking forward to returning!

Lovely secluded property

I love this cabin. I've returned multiple times to visit. The drive up the road is pretty long and windy but it's worth it to be in a beautiful, quiet, secluded place. And the cabin has just about everything you need. Highly recommend.

Beautiful mountain cabin!

We enjoyed our week at this beautiful cabin. The porch is the best spot to sit to enjoy the fresh air, quiet, and trees all around (which are so thick, you can barely see the mountains beyond them - but this is the summertime!) It was like being in a treehouse. The cabin was immaculately clean, and we especially liked the large master bathroom which allowed us to spread our things out. The beds were comfortable, and the bedrooms and their accompanying baths are on opposite sides of the cabin- perfect for two couples, or in our case, privacy for both my husband and I, and our adult son. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the dishes you need. We did not cook, but I am sure you could find anything you needed to make a full meal. A highlight was seeing a momma deer and her fawn (twice!) One additional thing I loved was that it was perfectly quiet. I believe there is another cabin nearby, but if so, we could not see it, and heard nothing. I would highly recommend this cabin.

The perfect mountain getaway

This is the third time my family has stayed at this property while visiting relatives in the Pisgah forest/Brevard area, which should tell you all that you need to know about how much we like this property. There is no where we'd enjoy staying more! The property is spacious, clean, cozy, quiet, and secluded. Despite being secluded in the mountains, the property is still within a short drive from groceries and attractions. We will definitely return in the future!

Spring Break Getaway

What an incredible property! Secluded, yet close downtown Brevard. The mornings were spent on the back porch listening to the birds and sunsets every night were spectacular. The cabin was cozy, very well appointed and had everything we needed for our stay. Fires each evening made for a lovely atmosphere inside. We really enjoyed our stay and wouud definitelt recommend it to anyone looking to escape to the quiet of nature.

Secluded mountain getaway

This is our second stay at this property and just as before, it did not disappoint. The property is spacious, cozy, quiet, and immersed in nature without being too far from necessities or attractions. Honestly, we don't see ourselves wanting to stay anywhere else on future trips to the area. Do yourself a favor and check this one out!

House was beautiful. Big great room, everything we needed in the kitchen, super quiet. You should be aware that the property is at the end of a steep road that only fits one car width for much of the way and has a steep drop on one side and is dirt near the end. We were fine but would not recommend driving this in the dark.

Great Cabin

Cabin was clean and well equipped. Loved the spacious back deck. My husband loved the fireplace in the great room. So private, yet close to shopping and restaurants. I wouldn’t want to do the driveway at night or bad weather. But otherwise it was perfect!

Peaceful Mountain Stay

Family from two different states meeting up to hike and be in nature. This cabin was absolutely perfect! Coffee in the morning with the hummingbirds on the patio, hiking and seeing waterfalls at Pisgah and DuPont during the day, and back in the cabin making home cooked meals at night. Nothing better! Can’t wait to come back to this cabin. Thank you!!

Perfect Getaway

Very secluded getaway that gave both of us an opportunity to just sit and breathe :) Wonderful tree-top views from the back deck. No more than an hour by car from dozens of amazing hiking trails. Plenty to enjoy in downtown Brevard. And then a quiet sunset back on the tree-top deck to end the day. We will definitely be back!!!

Amazing Cabin and Views

Very much enjoyed the property and views. It was high up in Pisgah Mountains. The kitchen, bathrooms and deck view was spectacular. Arrive early the single road access road were not lit with no place to turn around. I he hiking trails were difficult to find….we would definitely stay at the property again.

Long weekend getaway

We love staying in the Sutton Knob area due to the views and accessibility. This home felt so private and we appreciated that there were no sounds except from nature. Having the bedrooms on opposite sides of the home with private bathrooms were a plus. The kitchen is well laid out and the living room felt open yet cozy. The best part of the home is the back deck. Whether watching the sun rise or set or the fog rolling through, you felt well connected to nature. Thank you for sharing this property with us. We are already planning a return trip.

Great mountain getaway

We loved our stay here! Highly recommend for a quiet, relaxing trip to visit the Pisgah Forest (and also nearby Douglas Forest). The cabin was immaculate, everything as pictured and lots of little touches. We really appreciate that we were able to bring along our dog along. The directions provided we really helpful and detailed, we were also able to use Waze to get us there (minus the important signage to watch for). Great location too, you get used to the extra few minutes climbing up the mountain. We even saw a black bear one day driving up! Thanks for a great stay and all the little details. We hope to come back.

Beautiful, private home

This home is cozy and beautiful. We came in late December and could not see a single neighbor from anywhere on the property. That said, it's only 12-15 min from restaurants, groceries, and trails. Stunning sunsets from the back deck. Wood provided for the indoor fireplace. Comfy bed. If you plan to cook, all the flatware, cookware, and equipment you'll need are there. Just byo coffee, spices, and such. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Cabin!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this cabin! It was pretty secluded and very peaceful, but not too far from Brevard and DuPont Forest and plenty of opportunities nearby for shopping, hiking and waterfall finding. We have stayed in many cabins over the past several years and this ranks high among cabins we enjoyed. The cabin is just as pictured and was very clean. I appreciated the available soap in the super clean shower and facewipes to use. The kitchen had the utensils we needed for cooking and grilling. I brought my own spices and seasonings. The Brevard area is known for it's white squirrels and we were lucky enough to see one in the road coming up to the cabin the second day there!
