"It seemed like the room had been remodeled but the furniture was old and could be upgraded. The pillows were flat. I requested an extra pillow and the staff left 2 pillows. That was nice, the water in the shower never warmed up, while the water from the sink faucet came out very hot. We had a hard time turning on the AC, it did work but it took a lot of time and effort to turn on. I feel that for rate I was charged they would have been better accommodations."
"My bedsheet had a cigarette hole in it. They gave us a room in an area with section 8 housing individuals who hung outside their room talking loudly, people sitting in the grass where the dog poop bags are in the parking lot.
There is a green fenced area that blocks off part of the parking lot and people would sit behind it to smoke and socialize which was also by our room.
There should be some division between guests and people that stay long term because the people who live there were very loud, a couple argued multiple times which woke myself, my husband, my toddler and 2 dogs. We only stayed 1 out of our 2 nights because it was not comfortable.
The air conditioning kept one side of the room cooler than the other side. There was a big patch on the floor of the shower so there is some proof they do maintenance it just didn’t look done professionally.
The price was cheap so I guess you get what you paid for.
Staff was very friendly at check in. They required IDs for each adult in the room and provided a parking pass. I didn’t have interaction upon check out as they said just open the curtains so they know we are gone and leave the keys."
"We chose the Clocktower Inn based on the great reviews and its super location to everything. All walkable - which is a huge plus!
It definitely was a fabulous hotel back in the days… like the 1990’s, but unfortunately the state of it today was rather sad - and worn down.
The cleaning staff and breakfast lady were very kind and friendly.
Our king bed room was the same, with old outdated furniture and a worn out old scuffed up bathroom.
The bed was comfortable, but it clearly did not have great quality bedding or pillows.
The all inclusive breakfast leaved much to be desired with just the basics during the week…Coffee, juice, fresh fruit, toast and yoghurt.
But on the weekend they seemed to jack it up with the addition of warm scrambled eggs , savory potatoes and meat patties.
The reception area would be nice if they had 24/ hr coffee and tea and not just iced water.
Then lastly the check in and check out process was streamlined, but not manned all the times.
They were clearly understaffed, which seems the norm in our current economy.
So all in all I’d give it a 3/5 !!
Hopefully they are able to do some updates and renovations in the future."
