"We booked the room a long time in advance to make use of the spa facilities. When we arrived we tried to get day access to the spa as specified in hotels.com. We were informed that this was wrong, price was per hour. On insisting, we were told they were fully booked for the day. On insisting further, we were finally offered 2 hours the next morning, but we had to leave and could not make use of the spa. As a note they are still selling day access to the spa on hotels.com. "Hotel Prestige is very modern and comfortable. The room we had was simple but very well equipped with closet space, a large bathroom and great air conditioning. The staff was exceptionally helpful with recommendations for restaurants."

"La Mezzaluna is a short walk from Barga Gallicano train station, and buses to Lucca. Rita is amazingly hospitable & welcoming, and did so much to make our stay enjoyable. Rooms are very nice, buffet breakfast set us up for the day. There is a bus up to Barga during the day, and a taxi back in evening.If you visit Barga, this is the place to stay. "
