Welcome to The Velvet Hideaway, a luxurious 1920s speakeasy-themed retreat located just minutes from Old Town Scottsdale. Our beautifully designed 4-bedroom 2-bath home combines vintage elegance with modern luxury, offering high-end finishes, a FREE HEATED and COOLED pool, hot tub, a cozy fire table, a secret room, a game room, and a turf area for outdoor games. Perfect for couples, groups of friends, and bachelor/bachelorette gatherings, it’s an upscale escape where you can relax, celebrate, and step back in time in style.

POOL Heating/Cooling: We heat the pool to 84 degrees in the colder months, and cool the pool to 94 degrees in the hotter months.

Please note that we have a smaller, sister listing of this same home called The Petite Velvet Hideaway, which is our 2-bedroom 2-bath home, and can accommodate up to 4 people. If you are interested in the 2-bedroom option of our home, please reach out and we will send along our VRBO 2-bedroom listing!

Located just 5 minutes from Old Town and Fashion Square, and close to everything else that Scottsdale and the Phoenix area has to offer, our house amenities include a pool, hot tub, fire table, and game room. We have a king bedroom, a queen bedroom, a bedroom with two full beds, and a bedroom with one full bed.

Inspired by The Great Gatsby and speakeasies, our home offers many unique and surprising features. Each room has been curated down to the smallest details to immerse you into the luxurious times of the 1920s. There is even a Secret Room - how quickly will you find it?!? There are many more surprises in store for you as well...and we have created several IG-worthy spaces where we hope you will make tons of great memories and share your photos with us as well!

Also note that the garage game room and lounge is fully air-conditioned and heated, providing for year-round enjoyment of this additional space!

A quick note about our beds: they are extremely comfortable!!! We have outfitted each bed with plush foam mattresses, mattress toppers, and soft sheets and comforters. We promise that you will love sleeping here! And our game room may just be your favorite hangout place...or will it be the living room where you can relax by the fire and listen to your favorite music on the vintage record player? Or maybe out on the patio or by the pool, or in the hot tub?!? Perhaps it will be sitting by the fire table with all of your friends and family??? We can't wait to find out what you enjoyed most about The Velvet Hideaway!

Please note: We do require all guests to sign a Rental Agreement, which will be sent to you upon confirmation of booking, as well as provide a copy of their Driver's License or Passport for insurance purposes.

Classy and Clean with a little poolside Oasis

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was so clean and cute with all the little touches added to the Speakeasy theme. The pool area was so peaceful and private. Also, there is a fun surprise to navigate through when you arrive.. happy searching. We would definitely stay again! Finally, Heather and Jason were great hosts, so responsive and accommodating!

1st time in old town.

Loved my first time in Arizona. Location to old town was recommended by a friend and didnt disappoint. House has something for every age from a pool for kids to poker table for adults. Surprisingly teenager's were never bored! Definitely would book again next year.

Great location, vibe, and experience

We very much enjoyed staying at the Velvet Hideaway.The decor and layout was fun and playful with a hidden room, speakeasy gameroom, and a great backyard (I got Gatsby vibes). The location was great for anyone looking to catch spring training games, going out in downtown Old Town, or looking to golf. The owners communicated very quickly and were prescriptive with check in, and check out which were both equally seamless. They also provided an online welcome guide which allowed me to share with the other guests which I appreciated.No notes, and I'd definitely come back!

This was by far and above the best VRBO experience. From the littlest details to the extraordinary, every aspect was on point. The owners even left us a little gift and thank you card to welcome our stay. Attention to detail was on point. They had every little thing covered from cold water in the fridge to toiletries in the bathrooms. Not to mention the well appointed home in every aspect. The pool and hot tub were amazing with games in the yard, the garage is full of activities. The home ambiance reminds you of an old Las Vegas or Palm Springs martini lounge. It’s super luxurious in every aspect. And there are a few surprises waiting for you to discover! But their hospitality was paramount. The owners were in communication at every step and freely available. Their welcome couldn’t be more valuable. We absolutely loved our stay at this home and will definitely be back to enjoy this incredible space. A must see…seriously!!!From-Ryan W.
