"Surprised the hotel doesn't have free coffee 24/7 in lobby. Rooms were ok but missing suitcase stand. Room telephones were unusable due to static while trying to talk to main desk. All minor expectations / problem. Staff was very courteous and professional. "

"Front desk tried to charge me an extra $50 to check in early. When I laughed and turned to give the porter my baggage to hold for me, he said ok how about $40 just for you! I couldn’t believe this. You’re extorting me for money to check in early. I told him I would rather roam the streets like a hobo than pay him this ridiculous “fee”. On my reservation I requested a fan for my room. None arrived. I didn’t pursue it any further bc it was only a one night stay. Finally, one of the bar staff was extremely rude to customers. Hard to explain what exactly happened in this review but let’s say I have stayed at this hotel numerous times when I’ve come to Philly and I’ve never encountered this kind of “attitude” from their bar staff before. "
