"i stayed at the cabin for a week, and enjoyed the peace and quiet of being in the middle of nowhere. i took long walks with my dog, lounged in the hot tub (very nice), gathered eggs from the chickens, learned the history of the cabin, and got together with friends living close by. it's not too far away from perryville, so i made a few trips to town."

Rolling fields stretched out endlessly, and every window opened to a calming scene of nature. I loved waking up to deer quietly grazing nearby and butterflies drifting through the yard—it felt like the world slowed down just for me.The hot tub was the highlight after long days, perfectly placed for watching the sun dip behind the trees and the sky turn gold. Even something as simple as sitting outside with a drink became a moment to breathe and reset. "Wonderful stay. The property was very clean and very beautiful private setting. It was a fun weekend stoping at the local wineries and enjoying a quiet retreat with my wife for a fun weekend. Beautiful sunset's! "

"Great location in a quiet neighborhood that was close to many areas of interest.We attended the Jour de Fete festival in St. Genevieve—hopping on Highway 61 at the bottom of the hill had us there in 10 minutes. One of the bathrooms had two sets of grab bars in the step-thru tub access shower. It would be perfect for anyone with mild balance/stability concerns.Beds were comfortable and vintage decor very 60s. Bathrooms and bedrooms very clean. Kitchen could use additional cleaning of wall tile and interior of lower cabinets, as well. Not a deal breaker, though. We would stay here again. Cassie was very responsive to questions.If you’re a birder, we saw red headed woodpeckers each morning while outside for breakfast at the patio table and one morning a pileated woodpecker. Fun and unusual sighting!"

"My son stayed there (as a gift from me) with some of his fellow 2025 highschool graduates. So I cant give personal witness. It is now 12:30pm on (11am) check out day.. hes now back in our area and I called him to ask (if he cleaned up and did his dishes etc…? for one) but also to ask how it was was it good “yes” and “thank you, again” that’s about it (which is his normal teenage hard to get a rise of excitment out - verbally) and what simple yes I personally know to equal - an unspoken- OMGosh it was great! So much fun! Thank you, hosts! "
