We were looking for a peaceful place away from the hustle and bustle of spring break and this was exact that. We loved the dock, the small beach, the deck, and the fire pit area. The house works, it wasn't as clean as I prefer and there were a few maintenance issues that need to be resolved which I trust that the host will take care of. Overall we were pleased with our stay.
We were in town for a memorial service. It was nice to stay in one location with my children and grandson. The weather was decent and the cottage was cozy. We did not have the time to fully enjoy the waterfront features, but our stay allowed us to be together during a difficult time for our family. Thank you for sharing your cottage.
We loved staying at Uncle Tubby's!! This was our first trip to the area to visit our son. We would stay here again.
The outdoor space was amazing. Michelle was a great host and responded quickly with any inquires. The dock and fire pit were the highlights of our stay. We grilled and made smores. We loved exploring the bay on the kayaks.
The rooms were nice and the AC was perfect. The check in and easy entry was great.
Can't wait to come for our next visit!

The property could be much better kept up
The reservation process and communication with the property mgr could not have been better. The interior of the home was pretty much as advertised, however, it did have more of a "lived in" look than the photos display. Also, several lamp light bulbs were either missing or burned out. That was surprising. You would think a simple fix like changing a burned out or missing bulb would be done prior to new renters arriving. Also, we did find evidence under a pantry door that the home may have been flooded at some point (rotted wood). But, for a 38 year old home, the interior is in pretty good shape. The exterior of the home, however, was disappointing. Very little upkeep was evident. Both the front and back yards were unkept. And, the table at the end of the dock hadn't been cleaned. That, too, was surprising. Something that would be very simple to do, wasn't done. Over all, I would give the home and grounds a 6 out of 10 rating.
Secluded, peaceful, beautiful backyard with great fire pit area, super cozy deck and nice private dock. Absolutely loved the old oak trees with Spanish moss and the cypress knees. This nice older home had been decorated nicely and was very clean. The hostess was great with communication. A little water damage could be fixed pretty easily and the automatic light by back door could stay on a little longer. Not a big deal. Loved the mandarin tree!! We absolutely enjoyed our stay!
We came on vacation with our 2 boys and grandparents in their 80’s. The grandparents couldn’t make it out to the beach so having the bay in the back yard was amazing. We disconnected and had an amazing time. Our doodles swam every day in the bay, we fished tons and are going home with lots of memories. We loved this house. It was perfect for a week with family. The kayaks were a great treat. We will definitely be back.

The back door needs some attention- if you don't have the top locked the door comes open. The drain in the kitchen needs re-done- per my husband that is not how a pea trap should be- its smells. He fixed your fence in the front yard, he also fixed a couple of your cabinets that the doors where not working. Also the remote in the living room- you may want to get a new one or replace those batteries- we had to take the sticky tap off of it and turn the batteries around for it to work.
The property was very clean and spacious. The dock and back patio was definitely a highlight. Was not a far drive from fun locations. great communication from property manager. highly recommend staying here. will definitely come back and stay here again.
Everything was as described. Host responded quickly to our questions. The pier was magical. The air conditioning was great, which is not always a given in a rental in July in Florida! The grounds and house could use some TLC, but it didn’t negatively impact our stay much. Bring a headlamp, there is not much light outside! There are motion sensor lights but they only stay on for a few seconds. There are also solar powered lights out back as the pictures show which help, but are more for ambiance. Overall we were pleased with our stay! Great for a low key vacation off the beaten path. Highly recommend the restaurant Fisherman’s Corner which is less than 20 minutes away by the canal in Perdido Key.
We arrived in the middle of the night, tired, ready for bed but when we arrived the sheets were dirty. They offered to clean them the next day when they responded after we had to clean them in the middle of the night. The “beach” was FULL of trash-tires, bricks, pots and lids, concrete lots of debris. Not what the pictures looked like on the posting.

This home left a lot to be desired! Our stay was not appealing to us. The home was full of bugs, the dispenser to the freezer was not working, wisteria growing wild and not appealing. The outside of the home was nothing like the photos. No beach due to brush everywhere. This homes needed more curb appeal for sure! Lot not miniatured like it should be for the price we paid. Pots and Pan were very old. Camera's on the property and the ad did not disclose this!!The only good and enjoyable thing was the private boat dock.
The house was disgusting, with roaches on the counter and a thick layer of dirt on the floor. Additionally, there were dirty dishes in every cabinet. Now, the pier, which is one of the main features of this property, had poison ivy growing all along it when we arrived, plus most of the lights on the pier were inoperable, making it dangerous to be on at night. I personally am not a clean freak but when you walk into a house and hear dirt crunching below your feet it’s a little concerning. Plus this property claiming to have a private beach is just completely a lie there is no beach private or not it’s just not there.
