Beautiful cottage decorated with modern furnishings and enjoying open views of countryside. Superb position – only ½ mile from Ullswater.. 2 steps to entrance.

All on the Ground Floor:

Bedroom 1: Kingsize (5ft) Bed Ensuite: Cubicle Shower, Toilet

Bedroom 2: Double (4ft 6in) Bed

Bedroom 3: Single (3ft) Bed

Bathroom: Bath, Toilet

Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Toilet, Washing Machine, Tumble Dryer. Electric storage heaters, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial fuel for open fire included (September-May). Cot and highchair. Garden with decking, garden furniture and barbecue. Bike store. Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking. Please note: Couples and family bookings only.. These two holiday cottages (refs NP80 and NP81) are situated ½ mile from the shores of Lake Ullswater in superb surroundings. This working farm borders the River Eamont and is close to the craggy peaks of the lakeland fells. Fells nearby include the High Street range, 1 mile, and Helvellyn, 8 miles. Penrith, 6 miles. Windermere, 13 miles. Access is via a small, private holiday park under the same ownership. Good location for peace and quiet yet only ¼ mile walk to Pooley Bridge with shops, pubs, cafes and steamer trips. Young children’s play area and small football pitch nearby. NP81 is adjacent to the owners quiet seasonal holiday park with no letting or sub letting. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

Riverbank Cottage can be booked together with Garden Cottage (ref NP81) and The Lodge (UK37562) to accommodate up to 16 guests.

One week stay in April 2023

Absolutely beautiful location. Wonderful views of river and fields beyond. Great outdoor seating area. Great large, well equipped kitchen. Super fire kept us warm and cosy at night. Photos on website do not do this property justice, it is even better in real life. Our grandson said it was the nicest house he had ever been in. Great location for walking into Pooley Bridge. Would definitely stay again.

Riverbank Cottage :- A warm ,well equipped cottage in a peaceful location . On arrival we found fresh milk and a bottle of “ fizzy “ in the fridge . A very nice gesture which was much appreciated . In summary :- A lovely place run by very nice people ( there at hand if we needed them )

Lovely bungalow in a beautiful area. We stayed for 7 nights, my husband, 8 year old, 5 year old, 3 year old, 1 year old and myself. The bungalow was spacious and well maintained. It poured down for most of the week so the laundry room came in right handy. We always had plenty of hot water and we used both showers and had a full bath plus washed up (there was a dishwasher but we never used it) Kitchen had everything we needed, sadly we didn't get to use the bbq due to the weather. Had a few walks into Pooley Bridge and that didn't take long at all. Owners were friendly. Kids loved going to the little park on site. We visited plenty of local sites, like Aria force, Keswick's bowder stone, Askham swimming pool which the kids loved and wasn't a far car drive. Enjoyed Lowther Castle. Pencil museum in Keswick and used the shops and supermarkets in Penrith. We were also lucky that the bridge in Pooley Bridge was open to traffic during the six weeks holidays. As a family, we would definitely stay again

We loved our stay at Riverbank Cottage! The views were wonderfull! Pooley Bridge and Ullswater are within a short walk of 5-10 minutes. The cottage is much larger than it looks like at the photos on the website. It is very complete, clean and cousy decorated. The location is perfect to explore the Lake District. We have visited Aira Force (20min), Ambleside (45min), Keswick and Derwent Water (30min) and Hadrian's Wall/Housesteads (60min). If it's possible we will come back one day at Riverbank Cottage to enjoy the beautiful Lake District some more!
