We had a family get together at Nurses cottage, six adults… we all loved the cottage large kitchen for family meals, boot room to clean up after dog walks many walks accessed from the cottage (One was a walk to Lowther castle). Lovely village, with deli style shop with all essentials, two great pubs (we tried both), a health spa and Michelin starred restaurant if you wanted. Near to Ulswater and Penrith all the things to do there.Garden was lovely with a large table and chairs for outdoor eating … driveway with space for two cars. We kept our spaniel on a lead in the garden as she would have escaped!! We had a long weekend, would 100% come back as so much more to see and do.

Fantastic place to stay.
Fantastic place to stay. Quiet location (until Kendal Calling started!) but even that was ok. Enclosed garden for the dogs, comfortable beds, good shower, lots of room for 4 adults & 2 dogs. Great pubs in the village, loved the outdoor swimming pool in the village - even the weather was perfect!
