Only stay here if you need adult supervision.
The positive. The beautiful swimming pool which had an aesthetic appeal. The Balinese staff were lovely and helpful. The not so good. The location is 2km away from the beach and if you don't have a scooter and wish to rent one, you will be stuck in “paradise” and will thus have to rely on a driver which will have to be pre arranged. The WiFi connectivity is awful. I know it’s paradise but these days WiFi is a commodity rather than a luxury. We only had breakfast which was very basic. Dinner was available, but only up to 7pm, so if you don't have any transport to take you to the numerous great restaurants at the beach, you might go to bed hungry. My main concern was that Michael, the manager/owner, was condescending and patronizing from the moment we arrived and proceeded to remind us of the many rules that apply in this establishment. - there is an extensive list in the room in case you forget. After requesting a scooter, he proceeded to remind me of the many dangers and pitfalls associated with riding a scooter in Bali, which I am sure is necessary for many of his guests. I had advised him that I am a seasoned and licensed motorbike rider having ridden in Bali before and yet he still felt the need to proceed with his lecture. In short, if you are going to rent a scooter, do it privately rather than involving Michael as he will manipulate the situation including the rental period, cost of rental, and petrol price whilst making you feel like a child in the process.

There is no way to thank for this rating, because a lot of things are just not true!The guest already had a scooter a few minutes after arrival. We take care of all other customers.Why does the guest write about things that do not concern him at all? All other guests are satisfied!We actually had a power failure for 1hour (then no WiFi). The guest was aware that this can happen. Otherwise, we have perfect WIFI for island conditions. Even American movies I could stream the whole time without problems.Every two weeks we had an accident with our guests, some of them very serious. Since we got police requirements to which Jungle Paradise and every guest must adhere. Also this guest! Therefore, I will continue to perfect education in this regard, so as not to endanger the health of the guests. Last but not least, the guest wanted to leave one day after the end of the scooter rental after 10h30, although the scooter was already rented to someone else. Because he was too stingy to pay the agreed gasoline price.I do not want to go into detail about the other untruths. Only this:If we had many such arrogant guests, we would close the resort.No behavior, no decency, Balinese culture and religion degrading from above treating, the few rules that there are not want to comply.We wonder why such guests travel to other countries with other cultures at all.Our advice to such guests: learn manners or stay at home!

A slice of heaven
This place is magical, we had a wonderful experience. Tony and his family were very helpful and accommodating. Yummi breakfast and inviting pool; the room was beautiful, and the open-air bathroom design was stunning. The only downside was the road in, it could do with being paved, and maybe heated water for the bathtub. That being said, we would stay again in a heartbeat, exceptional overall experience, terimah kasih Tony.

Hi Peter, we are so happy to hear that you consider Jungle Paradise a magical place. My family and I are honored that you have taken us into your hearts so much. You are also an absolute heart recommendation from all of us! We are especially happy that you enjoyed our rich breakfast so much. Of course, our architect liked best the evaluation of the wonderful and very large bungalows and the outdoor bath. His effort to make each bath individually different is seen by both you and all our other guests as something very special. He is also very happy that you liked our big pool with the palm tree in the middle so much! Two things you noticed we would like to explain: We wanted to improve the access to the resort more than two years ago. But due to the pandemic, we had to close Jungle Paradise for over 2 years. Therefore, this project has unfortunately been delayed. However, we are improving the access very soon. We have installed the largest and most modern water heater you can get on Bali with the power of electricity here. However, our bathtubs are so big that it is enough for a warm but not hot bath. On Nusa Penida we have continuous 30 degree high temperature and for most guests a warm bath is enough. Please stay healthy! Aamupala oli tarjolla vain klo 8-9 ja sait valita listalta YHDEN tuotteen esim. munakas. Aamupala oli hyvin niukka ja kävimmekin muualla syömässä parin tunnin kuluttua. Asiakaspalvelu oli keittiössä erittäin ystävällistä. Vesisateella huoneemme katto vuosi kahdesta kohdasta, josta toinen suoraan sänkyyn. Sanoimme tästä omistajalle, joka pahoitteli tilannetta ja totesi, ettei voi sille mitään. Nukuimme siis märässä sängyssä. Skootterin sain helposti vuokrattua majoituksen kautta. Skootteri on välttämätön liikkumiseen tuolta pois. Wifi toimi erittäin huonosti, varsinkaan iltaisin. Yövyimme viisi yötä ja huonetta ei siivottu KERTAAKAN, ei edes wc:n roskista, johon laitettiin pyyhkimispaperit. Huonetta alettiin siivoamaan välittömästi chek outin jälkeen. Huoneessa oli paljon ötököitä. Ammeeseen jos haluat veden, se on sitten kylmää koska lämmityspoileri on hyvin pieni:D klo 18 jälkeen ei ollut enään henkilökuntaa paikalla. Paikat oli vähän rempallaan. Nusa Penida paikkana aivan mahtava! Jungle Paradise nimensä perusteella ei ole ainakaan paratiisi :D

Dear guests,first of all, we would like to apologize for the small leak in the roof, which we did not know about until now and only noticed for the first time during the extreme rain. We will repair this as soon as possible.We thank you for the appreciation of the friendly staff and the scooter service. It is true that throughout the island the WiFi is very erratic. Sometimes quite good, sometimes extremely bad. The signal comes from Bali by air and not by cable. Despite our own WiFi tower, we unfortunately have no influence over the incoming signal.Finally, however, I would also like to contradict some things:Breakfast can be served from 8-10am both in the restaurant and on your own terrace. If you wish, we can serve it earlier or later! The breakfast is included in the price and can be ordered a la carte. For most guests, this is perfectly adequate because it is very generous. Including fruit plate, coffee or tea as much as you want and 1 orange juice. The cleaning of the room and the change of towels can be done daily on request. This is explained in detail in our guest information in the room. This request was never made. Many guests want privacy and no cleaning. We respect this and we thought this was your wish.Lastly, I would like to mention that my German guest manager, who introduced himself to you, sat on the terrace in the bungalow next door until midnight every evening and was always available. He saw every evening when all our guests were coming back. However, he was not spoken to at any time. And as the owner, I live on the property and can be woken up at any time during the night if there are problems.We cannot offer more service than this.Kind regardsTony
