"A great place to stay for both the areas of Siracusa and Catania. You will need your own transportation but you will enjoy going around an area full of history, natural beauty and wonderful coastline. Our room was simple but very clean and functional. The ladies in the dining room were amazing - we had delicious breakfasts and enjoyed warm conversations. We will be back again!"

"Overall an excellent stay. Our suite (with a private pool) was modern, clean and comfortable - most critically with a soft bed (italian beds are usually so hard) and effective but quiet aircon (so you could have it on all night). At the pool there are comfy sunloungers and we always had brand new fluffy pool towels. The main pool was usually very busy - but not an issue for us as we camped out at the adults pool. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Lunch and drinks at Lime Bar were also always to a high standard. The evening buffet, and the a-la carte restaurants were a bit hit & miss - the pizza restaurant the best of the bunch. Staff very helpful, maybe just too few of them on occassion. Note that this hotel really is off the beaten track. Brucoli village is close - but there is nothing there to see or do. Don't bother going and certainly pay for the water taxi from the hotel. Overall - thoroughly recommend."

"Ich kann diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlen!Es ist ein atemberaubender Ort für alle, die ihren Urlaub am Meer genießen möchten. Der private Zugang zum Strand ist einfach fantastisch. Sonnenschirme und Liegen stehen zur Verfügung, und das Beste daran ist, dass sich dort kaum Menschen aufhalten – manchmal hatten wir die nächsten 300 Meter Strand sogar ganz für uns allein. Außerdem hat man einen wunderbaren Blick auf den Ätna.Im Haus ist wirklich alles vorhanden, was man für einen komfortablen Aufenthalt benötigt. In der Küche findet man die wichtigsten Dinge wie Salz, Zucker, Gewürze und Olivenöl. Im Badezimmer standen Waschmittel für die Waschmaschine bereit. Eine so große Aufmerksamkeit gegenüber den Gästen findet man nicht überall.Ein besonderes Dankeschön geht an Riccardo, der uns trotz unserer späten Ankunft herzlich empfangen hat und uns am Abreisetag sogar erlaubt hat, etwas länger zu bleiben.Vielen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft!VG Gennadij"

"We had an amazing stay at this villa and it honestly exceeded our expectations. The property is absolutely beautiful, and the photos don’t quite do it justice.We were a large group of family and friends, and there was more than enough space for everyone to spread out and relax without ever feeling cramped. There are so many different seating and lounging areas, with a great mix of sun and shade throughout the day. The pool was definitely a highlight – it’s fantastic and where we spent most of our time.There’s also a lovely beach just a one-minute walk down the road with crystal-clear water and great swimming, which was a huge bonus.The villa is a little tricky to find the first time, but once you know the turn off the highway it’s really straightforward. I’d definitely recommend having a car, but we found it to be the perfect base for exploring Noto, Siracusa, Taormina, and several other beautiful local beach towns.We would 100% recommend staying here and would absolutely love to come back one day. Thanks again for a fantastic stay!"

"Absolutely loved the place. Everyone was over the top helpful & kind, ensuring that we had a great experience. The only thing that threw us was a $100. Fee per person that was explained to us as facility fees for the pool & beach. We were fine with the fee but later we were told that the pool was for children only. We were not happy about that as there were days when we would have preferred hanging at the pool rather than the beach. We dealt with the situation but it was a pretty expensive fee for beach use only. Overall we just thought the place was great & would recommend it."

"Location was very quiet, and the restoration done on the old Sicilian farmhouse was excellent. The room was very comfortable, though the bed was hard as a rock (as is typical). The shower was spacious with good water pressure. The air-conditioning worked quickly and efficiently. The owner’s dog was sweet, gentle, and well behaved. Our dogs loved the place (and owner’s dog). Our only slight letdown was the breakfast. While the “squeeze it yourself” orange juice was delicious, the coffee was less so. There were also not as many items to choose from for the breakfast. The owner was extremely friendly, helpful, and we would absolutely return for another stay here."

"Villa Cava Grande is a beautifully restored traditional farmhouse set in a wonderful secluded location with views over the Siracusa plain as far as Etna. The swimming pool makes the most of the view. We were met at the autostrada exit by Enzo so finding the house was no problem. Giorgio, who looks after the fields, gave us fresh fruit, vegetables and eggs. A very warm welcome in a fantastic place. There are many tourist spots within reach including the Cava Grande nature reserve which is spectacular, though it's a strenuous path down - and up."
