"The welcoming lake view and deer surrounding the property were very nice. The location and host Pierre were fantastic. The fireplace and decor were really warm and welcoming. It would be good to possibly delineate parking spaces so that other people arriving didn't park covering multiple spots. Hot water remaining was a challenge on the first morning and a bathroom fan was loose in the ceiling so I let the host know and they responded and remedied it. The bed and sheets were wonderful and the place was very quiet once above neighbours settled for the evening. I slept well. It may be good to have toothpaste and conditioner also available in the suite to complement the shampoo. The fireplace was calming touch and appreciated as a focal point in the living room. I very much enjoyed the hot tub - maybe a little diagram on the wall could help a user know how to properly remove the cover, The tub was clean and appreciated! I was attending a conference in Ottawa so the traffic was a little challenge in the morning but it was worth the drive in to stay at Pierre's and escape the hotel feel. You can get beer and wine and snack foods at the nearby convenience store and there are many small places nearby to get take out or visit the Manchester pub restaurant about 10 minutes away. There's a firepit in the back, BBQ, etc. for a couples weekend away and lots of hiking nearby if you have time to enjoy it. I would definitely stay again and plan to enjoy the relaxing environment."

"First impressions was the grounds were immaculately kept. Gorgeous kept up gardens, it was always clean, no garbage anywhere. Our room was beautiful clean and comfortable, every single member of the staff was incredibly helpful happy and friendly. We had two massages in their outside cabin which were fabulous and so relaxing. No small detail was missed. Fire places were lit at night, blankets on the chairs on cold nights. The hot tub and sauna were always hot and ready to go. Amazing breakfast. Overall was a perfect experience. Highly recommended a fall trip to Wakefield it’s a special place. We will be back"

"The first thing I realized upon my arrival was the fact that this is not a hotel. This property is more of a cabin/air b&b. There is no front desk or house keeping during the stay. The vibe of the room is very nice for cabin lovers. Of course everything in the room is updated. Clean room. Limited and tight parking space. Remote neighborhood. Good for hiking and trail walking. My room was on the first floor and people above me were very noisy and inconsiderate. It was a different experience for me."
