We booked the stay a month out. Received no communication form the host at all. 3 days before our stay, i requested chckin information. The response was that they send out information 1-2 days before the stay and an ealy checkin was unlikely.
We received no information.
On the day of arrival into salt lake city airport, I reached out for an update and received none. So decided to head directly to the marriott to see if they could help. Upon arrival (~11am), the marriott told us that we no no reservation untill 2 days time and for only 1 night. Not the 4 days i booked!
This was concerning, so i tried reaching out again to the host and tried calling. No response for a half hour to an hour. Spike to VRBO in the background trying to figure out what was going on! The host eventually said all is fine and they thought all was setup. They realistically deflected responsibility unapologetically. This was disappointing to see the least as i had not been able to plan sufficiently and was concerned about if my family had somewhere to sleep because of the lack of communication and conflicting information. My 2 small children became hungry and irritable. So thos was unpleasant and unnecessarily stressful and easily averted.
Then eventually the host provided 3 separate booking confirmations to provide to the marriott. After day 3, we were locked out of the suite and needed to get the marriott to process the confirmations again as they told us we had overrun our stay
