About this property
The Cozy Cabin....Walk to Brighton ski slopes!
This incredible log cabin is nestled among the huge pine trees of Brighton, Utah. It is surrounded by by the beautiful Wasatch mountains, which make skiing and snowboarding in the winter extremely amazing. Brighton Ski Resort is 10 minutes walking distance, and Solitude Ski Resort is only a 5 minute drive. The snow up here is the greatest snow on earth! The Nordic Center is a 5 minute walk, and offers snow covered trails for cross country skiing or snow shoeing in winter, or hiking in the summer. Silver Lake is located here at the Nordic center, and offers amazing hiking trails, and great fishing in the Summer and Fall. Trout abound in this beautiful mountain lake, and is only a 5 minute walk. The cabin itself is secluded, and off the main road. It is totally remodeled recently with no expenses spared. All is new inside and out with the exception of the two story fireplace, and the full log walls. This beautiful cabin is full of charm. There is nothing more cozy than sitting in front of the fireplace on a frosty winter day. Just a fun fact....The cabin was featured in the #1 rated Hallmark Christmas/holiday movie of all time. It's called "Christmas Under Wraps", starring Candace Cameron Bure'. Watch it before you stay here! Moose and deer are a common sight right outside of the cabin as well as over at Silver Lake.

This cabin is fantastic! Was able to relax and enjoy the cool, fresh air. Mule deer walked right by the front door.
Loved our stay here! The cozy cabin was very cozy! Clean and well stocked with everything we needed! The walk to Brighton is a little further than we thought (maybe 13 min walk to the base) but we just drove over most days and it was fine! Would definitely recommend and stay there again!
Our family of 4 enjoyed a week of skiing in this cozy cabin within walking distance to Brighton ski resort and 5 min drive to solitude. If you want a peaceful and quiet locale for a trip to big cottonwood canyon this cabin is the best. We would definitely stay here again! The host was responsive and very helpful!
This is our 2nd year to stay at the cozy cabin. We absolutely love it! Jami is a top notch host & always available if/when needed. The cabin is super clean! The location is perfect and easy walking distance to skiing/hiking. We will be coming back!
We couldn't get over how convenient the cozy cabin was for our family. We had a great time on the mountains everyday and came how to rest at the cabin. It was perfect!
So easy and private. just a 10 min walk from silver lake and the lifts. The house cozy and intimate with fire place stacked with wood. and great kitchen for our meals and table to dine with. Jami was great and accommodating
We had a fabulous stay at the cozy cabin ... it was the perfect place to return after a day of hiking or skiing. We loved the large table for games and puzzles after a meal and our whole crew was delighted by the bedding! This truly was a cozy gem!
We are repeat guests at the Cozy Cabin and we LOVE it every time! It is a great getaway in a beautiful mountain setting. We saw nature in abundance this visit, including a Mama Moose with 2 babies, bald eagle, beavers, rock chucks, a bull moose and surprisingly a mink!
Wonderful cabin for a quiet and peaceful summer get-away! 10 minute walk to start of Brighton Resort hiking trails and short drive to all other trails in the area, all of which were beautiful with plentiful levels of difficulty (easy, moderate, and hard trails can be found). The cabin had the essentials we needed, which were adequately listed in the description, and Jami communicated what we would need to further consider picking up (such as groceries) in advance for planning, and was prompt and thorough in his communications. 25-ish minute drive to the city to pop into a grocery store if something was needed.
The cozy cabin is very well situated and close enough to the Brighton lifts for walk/ski-in and ski home. It has a very well equipped kitchen and lots of comfy blankets for cozying up in the living room. The fireplace is a great bonus. We were a family group of 7 adults and although the cabin is small we never felt cramped. We hope to return next season!
The cabin was like a fairytale and the scenery surrounding it was beautiful! We'll definitely be back. The only downside was we were looking for a hot tub when we booked this property. Unfortunately, that part didn't work out. However, we still enjoyed our 9 days there.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Cozy Cabin! The cabin is super cute and very well equipped with all that you need for a great stay. The location is fantastic as well! Meters away from Brighton and all that it offers, a few minutes from Solitude, less than 25-30 min from Park City, Eastern Salt Lake City, and Midway, there is no shortage of things to do and see. The communication with the owner was perfect and extremely helpful.
We went off roading, white water rafting, mountain biking, rented UTVs, hiked, took in the Park City activities and managed to relax a bit as well. The location was perfect!
We can’t wait to plan a winter trip to enjoy the 500”+ of annual snowfall!!!!
Had a wonderful stay in the Cozy Cabin for "Spring Break" - we were lucky enough to get about 35 inches of snow that week. The cabin was very clean, comfortable and well organized. The kitchen was well equipped with a good selection of pots/pans, accessories, and spices. Beds were all comfortable though the bunk bed room upstairs could use some shades (minor). Stairs going up to the second floor are rather steep and narrow, but it was fine for our group (might be an issue for older people with unsure footing). If you are renting in the colder months, I suggest bringing a pair of slippers as the stone on the first floor is rather cold. Fireplace is sublime! Jami is also a top-notch communicator - a very important aspect of renting. Fantastic trip! We'll book here again when we come back to Brighton.
We stayed at the cabin for 11 nights in October. It was amazing. Very well stocked. Everything from napkins and paper towels to shampoo. Plenty of nice, thick bath towels. Kitchen had every appliance and spice we could possibly need. Books and magazines. Jami even had firewood there for us to use! Plenty of parking. Quiet neighborhood - off the main road. Very nice furniture and decor. Make sure to see the custom painting of the cabin at the bottom of the stairs! We had personal business in Park City, but opted to stay in Brighton for more quiet time. It definitely checked that box. There were not a lot of restaurants to choose from - the pizza place at Solitude was open and good. And the little restaurant in the store in Brighton was open, but we did not eat there. But, we eat in most of the time, so this was not an issue for us. We took long walks around Silver Lake. And fished there - bringing in fresh trout for dinners! Horse backing riding was fun and gorgeous in the Aspen. Check out North Forty Escapes for that. They have sledding dogs and snowmobiles in winter. Our guide was Conrad - he was personable and went above and beyond to make our ride good. We drove into SLC one day for some shopping and visited the Toyota Museum. We had great weather - it snowed the day we arrived and once again before we left. Roads were no problem. Other days were sunny and the Aspens were in full glory. Brighton is a well-kept secret! We would stay here again!
