Escala Penthouse 417 is a three-bedroom ski-in/ski-out residence at Escala Lodges Centric Park City in Canyons Village, steps from the Sunrise Gondola at Park City Mountain. Mornings here skip the part most ski trips dread: no cold car, no base-lot parking, no gear haul. Escala Lodges ski valet hands off equipment at the door, and the gondola is a short walk across the plaza. It suits two couples or a small family of up to eight who want the ski day to start at the lift, not in a parking structure
BEST SUITED FOR
Built for two couples or a small family of up to eight who want straightforward ski logistics and a walkable resort base. Less ideal for groups that need three matched king bedrooms, a private in-unit hot tub, or the separation of a standalone home.
A three-bedroom Canyons Village residence with ski-in/ski-out access to Park City Mountain via the Sunrise Gondola, best suited for couples and small families.
AT A GLANCE
• Ski-in/ski-out to Park City Mountain via the Sunrise Gondola
• Escala Lodges ski valet and gear storage
• Three bedrooms, three private bathrooms, sleeps eight
• Two king bedrooms plus one room with two queens=
• Full access to Escala Lodges pool, hot tubs, and fitness center
• Full-size in-unit washer and dryer
• Walkable Canyons Village location, car optional
LAYOUT AND SLEEPING
The penthouse sleeps eight across three bedrooms on two levels. Two bedrooms have king beds; the third has two queens, which works for children, teens, or a second couple sharing. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom, so no two parties share a bath. The main level holds the kitchen, dining, living room, and two bedrooms; upstairs, the loft works as a second living space with its own seating and television. Parking is valet through Escala Lodges, with details set out in the rental agreement. Because the gondola, ski school, rentals, dining, and shuttle are all on-site, most guests use the car only for the airport run.
THE HOME
The kitchen, dining, and living areas open around a fireplace, so eight people share one room without fighting for a seat. The kitchen is built for real cooking: full-size appliances, prep counter, and cookware for a group breakfast before first chair or dinner after the lifts close. Upstairs, the loft earns its place on a ski trip. The kids can run a movie while the adults keep the main level, and nobody negotiates for the good couch. Furnishings match the setting: durable materials and restrained finishes built for steady winter use.
LOCATION AND ACCESS
Escala Penthouse 417 sits inside Escala Lodges Park City in Canyons Village, on the Park City Mountain side. The Sunrise Gondola is steps from the building and feeds into the Red Pine terrain and the wider Park City Mountain network. Ski school, rentals, coffee, and apres are all walkable, which removes the base-area parking and shuttle timing that slow most Park City ski mornings. Dinner at Escala Provisions Company, the resort's on-site restaurant and bar, happens without moving a car. A nightly Escala Lodges shuttle runs to Historic Main Street, and Salt Lake City International Airport is about 40 minutes away. In summer, Canyons Village stays active with concerts, drone shows, markets, lift-served biking, and hiking. The pool and hot tubs run year-round.
FAQs
Is this property ski-in/ski-out?
Yes. Escala Penthouse 417 is a true ski-in/ski-out residence at Escala Lodges Park City, with the Sunrise Gondola steps from the building. The Escala Lodges ski valet stores and stages equipment between ski days.
Is parking easy?
Parking is valet through Escala Lodges, with details set out in the rental agreement. Most guests park once on arrival and leave the car for the stay. An EV charger is also available on site.
Is this residence good for families?
Yes, particularly small families. Three private bathrooms, a separate upstairs living space, and a walkable resort base reduce the friction of managing children and ski gear. The room with two queens suits children or teens; it is not a third king, so groups wanting matched adult bedrooms should weigh that.
Is there a private hot tub?
No private in-unit hot tub. Guests have access to the two Escala Lodges outdoor hot tubs and the heated pool deck.
Is there air conditioning?
Yes. The penthouse has full air conditioning throughout, plus a full-size in-unit washer and dryer.

Place was well cared for and a great fit for our extended family with two young children. We appreciated the host's willingness to coordinate with BabyQuip on the delivery and pickup of rented supplies for the kids.
Loved it here. Shuttle to Main Street. Great space. The hotel was struggling with staffing but Matt the manager was taking on all tasks to make things work. The communication was the best we have ever seen at any Vrbo we have stayed at. Highly recommend!
Wonderful home with true ski in and ski out location. Great kitchen and living space. Pool and hot tubs were outstanding. Easy ski valet. Had one issue with no coffee pot, but this was readily and rapidly corrected by iTrip management. Parking easy underground.

Stayed here for quiet weekend with my wife and kids. The leaves were just starting to change colors and starting to show on the mountains it was gorgeous. Our teenager kids loved having their own rooms with private bathrooms and the game room and pool. Even though it was off-season, we had a great time. The property managers were helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again - great spot for families or groups looking for a comfortable base in Park City.
We couldn't have been happier with everything this condo offered. It was a perfect spot for our family vacation. The rooms were large, kitchen had everything you needed, amenities were perfect especially the hot tub and pool for a soak after a day on the slopes. We would 100% stay here again!! The only thing I would suggest would be for the couch to be updated and maybe add another comfy chair in the living room. For the size of condo and the number of people it sleeps, you need a little more lounging area downstairs. The couch is getting a little "tired" but it was all still great.
Having looked at several places to stay...and having stayed in the area before. This property and especially this unit is the best by far. Not only did it have enough room for 6-8 people comfortably, the property its self was excellent for a family! This property is A+ in my book and again especially this unit. Had an upstairs and down stairs. There is even a small living room upstairs between the two up stairs bedrooms so that kids could watch TV while adults enjoyed a separate space just for them downstairs. Like having a full house, but with the excellent property facilities of a resort all in one. THanks guys...we will be back!
We had a great time with our kids, 20y, 18y, and 14y. The ski valet was so nice. Every morning our skis were out and ready to go for us. The location is on the canyon side of Park City, which is a while mountain of its own. It takes about 45min in skis to get to the Park City Mountain side, lots of trails and lifts to take to get over. The apartment worked out perfect for us. The beds are pretty firm, so if you like that then you will enjoy. For us, they were too firm. The sofa is too small too, but we made it work by adding g kitchen chairs when we gathered together. Overall, this was a great choice, we had such a great time! Easy walk to restaurants, but make sure to make a reservation. DBB is first come first serve, so that was nice
Loved the ski in ski out aspect of this unit and being able to walk to restaurants and concerts. Love the shuttlle bus service too. The unit needs to be updated. The living room sofa is tired looking and should be replaced. It is stained in many places and as many reviewers commented it should be replaced with a larger sectional. The wall in living room that has the stairs needs to be repainted. There are many many marks and scrapes on it. The matress in master bedroom on kitchen level is hard as a rock. Wish they would have provided at least one non stick frying pan. Extremely difficult to clean pan after cooking scrambled eggs. Fortunately, we ate out at the many wonderful restuarants in town and Edge steakhouse within walking distance.
We had a great stay despite the unseasonable warm weather. The lift is just a short walk away. Location is very convenient to downtown and other areas of Park City!
Great place, good location, spacious and clean. One small complaint was that it would be nice to have hand soap and trash bags available, and perhaps an owner’s binder explaining things like how to work the tv, roku password, etc. They were responsive to these issues however so it all worked out! Would stay here again.
Wonderful stay at this Park City condo/hotel! The ski-in/ski-out access was incredibly convenient, and the views were absolutely beautiful. The condo was spotless, comfortable, and very well maintained, with lovely accommodations throughout. Especially appreciate multiple bathrooms as well as double doors for the rooms for privacy. Everything was clean and thoughtfully set up. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it.
Great location in Park City, close to everything. Unit was great. Clean and well supplied. Had the pool to ourselves most days. Would definitely stay there again!
The unit was extremely dirty and dated. The master bedroom smelled of cigarette smoke. The windows were so dirty you couldn’t see out of them….ashamed because beautiful views. The AC broke, the master bedroom toilet broke and the elevator was down 2 days so we had to walk our bikes up and down the stairwell as weell as our sons luggage who came to visit. The ownwner is very unresponsive. We stayed at his property for 3 weeks and never heard from him. Very disappointing experience.
Easy location, ski in ski out. The initial ski out area is a little steep for beginnners but doable. Property was excellent, easy to get to new dining and SUnDial shops.
A great home base during a long stay in the Canyons. Upstairs showers needed maintenance during our stay but it was addressed quickly.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Great location and very clean! The condo did not have heat for the first few days (December in the mountains) despite multiple attempts by the maintenance staff to fix it. There was no offer to move us just apologies from management. We all slept in the one bedroom that had heat the first couple of nights. Main tv did not work and maintenance said there was a work order in, never fixed during our stay. I would stay at this resort again (amenities were great) but not at this unit.
