"Lovely property inside the city walls but away from the high traffic tourist areas. Well equipped with everything you need. Easy check in. We had a lovely visit in Volterra."

"The Hotel Villa Rioddi was one of the very best places I've ever stayed. The owner, Luca, was most attentive to our every need, whether it was suggesting a day's itinerary, pouring us a delicious glass of local wine and producing a fabulous breakfast every morning.
Our room was spotless and appeared to be recently renovated. The swimming pool was large and refreshing after a day in the Tuscan sun.
The location, just outside Volterra's old town, proved a perfect jumping off point to a myriad of Italian gems. Luca knew them all and was perfectly happy to steer us to them."
Le Macine, a wonderful ancient restored watermill with Pool
10/10 Excellent
"A lovely stay, good quality air con in bedrooms, Alex is a great host. Make sure you go to one of the meals he hosts because the food was divine. Good location to Volterra, property is right next to a road but gated. "
"The host, Francesco, was very responsive; the accommodation itself was clean although very dated; it was in a good location just inside the city walls. However, the description states that parking is available- I was sent a link to 4 separate public parking lots- 3 paid and 1 free- there was zero availability. I stated this to Francesco who adamantly told me to refer to the description stating parking is available but not a private lot- and as I previously stated, there was no parking available many times, in any of the lots. Just want others to be aware as I didn’t see this in any reviews and when I see that parking is available- whether public or private- I assume there will be a spot somewhere without having to drive around for over an hour and then walk a very good distance.
