Superb guesthouse

Absolutely wonderful, friendly, and welcoming hosts with a beautiful bed and breakfast. We love our stays here and can't wait to visit again. Clean, bright, and comfortable room. Peaceful location with Youngs park, Goodrington beach and Splashdown quaywest right on the doorstep but only a 15 minute walk to the busier Paignton town.

Short Break in Paignton

Had a great short break in Paignton staying with Sarah and Paul at the Rowcroft Lodge. The guest house is well located with a short walk to the town centre, including the Dartmouth Steam Railway station, and even shorter walk to the beach. Sarah does a very nice freshly cooked breakfast and the room and bed very comfortable. We were made very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely place to rest your head.

Great! Provided a friendly family feel to the stay. Felt like I was being welcomed by friends to stay, rather than just renting a room. Even accommodated around my arrival time. They provided a vegan breakfast that was more than adequate. I would and have recommended people to stay.

Location was good. Easy walking distance to beach and restaurants. The b and b was very clean. Room was upgraded and we had a lovely view. Breakfast was very good. Sarah and Paul were excellent hosts. Made us feel very at home. We will definately be back.

Stayed in Room 5. Recently refreshed to an excellent standard. Comfy bed, modern functional TV in a good position. Small but functional bathroom facilities. Tea and coffee facilities in room, extras available from convenient locations throughout the building if needed. Breakfast is easily preordered by WhatsApp, with a selection of cereals also available. We really enjoyed our breakfasts which were of a high quality. Smelling your breakfast cooking as you get ready is such a treat. It was a warm couple of nights, and buildings of this age do retain the heat, especially on the upper floors, but it is quiet and safe enough to sleep with the window letting in the cool night air. Sarah & Paul were really inviting and engaged hosts, a beautiful example of how a guest house should be.

A lovely place to stay in Paignton by the Sea.

Arrival information was clear and check-in was straightforward. Breakfast was provided and was served to order. Has to be ordered the night before via WhatsApp Message. Room was comfortable for our family of four and our dog. We were down for a long weekend break and with being so close to the beach, we had a great stay. Lots to do in walking distance but a few hills around the area. Owners were very pleasant and very approachable should you need anything. We did not require any additional items, but felt we could have easily asked if we did. During our stay we had no issues and at the end it was a straightforward check out process. Our only minor thought is parking. There is 3 parking spaces at the front, but all other spaces are on street parking which was quite busy throughout the weekend. There are other hotels, B&Bs and guest houses along the road with similar parking situations. Fortunately we managed to park on the drive most of the time though. Overall we had a nice stay and will probably stay again.

Hotel itself is amazing, well Presentable outside and inside is very clean and tidy, breakfast was lovely. Owners are welcoming and funny 😁 location is great because its near the beach, park, Cafes and some pubs. But the cons are that parking at the hotel is not great. They only have 3 parking spaces so if they are taken you have to park outside on the street but trying to find a spot is very hard! As its free parking and people park there because its close to the beach and thats why i had to put a 2 star rating on the area around the property. if you are not a dog lover then forgot about the beach as dogs are allowed on them and there are loads of them!
