"Lovely hotel for our first few days in Guatemala, very comfortable rooms (hot water in shower takes a while to come through but this is normal) with a lovely breakfast on the terrace each morning overlooking a volcano and very friendly staff. Slightly further out than some hotels but still walkable to eg the main square. "

"We stayed in the triple bed room, which was very nice. There were only two of us (we booked late so it was the last available room) and we had plenty of space. The beds were each a different firmness which could be good for lucky sleepers. The bathroom was updated, the rooftop restaurant served excellent food. The staff at the entire hotel was very friendly. If I were to return to Guatemala, I would definitely stay at El Carmen again. Thank you!!"

"I had an incredible stay. Estiben took care of all my needs including helping me with my Spanish and arranging for tours. The hiel is very quiet and peaceful with a stunningly beautiful garden and patio. It’s a short walk to the Santa Catalina arch and very close to the entry point for the hike to Cerro de la Cruz. "
