We had such a lovely time. Hosts were amazing, rooms were clean and comfortable.
Was so much fun walking around the farm and visiting all the animals, especially for anyone travelling with kids.

From the comprehensive information provided prior to arrival, to our welcome from Carla, the amazing, spacious room and wonderful amenities, this property ticks all the boxes. Great location which is close to the historical sites. The staff are wonderful and the breakfast is fresh and tasty. There is good safe parking nearby and access to the Hillel is very good. We saw lots of people dragging luggage through paved roads looking for their Air B&B which showed us that a great location this hotel is in. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

It was a spectacular experience to stay in a sassi, though a far cry from what it would have been like for the original inhabitants of Matera. This is a luxurious, boutique hotel with helpful staff that spoke English. The king-sized and two single beds were very comfortable and our private, family room had a spa bath and amazing ceiling - half carved out of the cliff with three arches inside, windows, both low and high and dramatic floor lighting. This is a cave hotel. Our room was on the top floor inside a cave. The view from our room faced the old town of Matera. It was spectacular. Breakfast offered a great variety of food, coffee made for you, fresh! The staff was so friendly. High recommended.
Please note, if you are driving into Matera, you will need to park in a nearby garage, and catch the shuttle to this hotel. This area is steep and roads uneven, therefore you need good walking shoes.
