"Great property in an outstanding location near an entrance to the Matera Sassi. Clean rooms and comfortable beds were nice to stay in. In addition to the Sassi access and hotel cleanliness, the breakfast was truly outstanding. It featured a variety of coffees, pastries and fruits along with other breakfast items in an attractive, large dining room. The desk is attended at all times and the building is secured at night. My only mild criticism is better information on parking prior to check in would be a plus. A secured garage is under the hotel and available for $20 Euro per might. I'd stay there again, both for the hotel and the ancient attractions of Matera."

"Breakfast bar- what a joke. We should have had a better choice. Cresants and coffee.,Which I don’t drink could have given us a better choice One night stays get treated differently than those who stay longer. More food is given. Ithey shouldn’t have favoritism. Hope this helps others. No refrigerator which some of us needed for our meds had to find another means to keep them cool. But it was very clean"

"Excellent séjour à Spazio Gagarin Residence à Matera. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié l’accueil et le service exceptionnel de Pietro, qui a pris le temps de nous informer, de nous conseiller et de nous aider aussi bien à notre arrivée qu’au moment du départ. L’hôtel est très moderne, avec une véritable approche high-tech : la domotique permet de contrôler facilement l’éclairage et la climatisation, ce qui ajoute beaucoup de confort au séjour. La chambre était très agréable, le lit très confortable, et nous avons également apprécié la petite terrasse extérieure. L’emplacement est idéal, à environ 5 minutes à pied du centre historique et des principaux attraits de cette magnifique ville de Matera, classée au patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO. Un stationnement est également disponible à l’hôtel, ce qui est très pratique lorsqu’on voyage en voiture. Et surtout, ne manquez pas d’y passer au moins une nuit : voir Matera le soir, lorsque les grottes et les Sassi sont illuminés, est une expérience vraiment unique. L’ambiance est spectaculaire et très différente de celle des autres villes des Pouilles."

"We absolutely loved our stay at Cenobio Hotel in Matera. Staying in a cave hotel was such a unique experience and felt like the perfect way to experience the Sassi, while still being incredibly comfortable. The climate-controlled air conditioning worked wonderfully, and the room was a welcome retreat after spending the day exploring Matera. What really made our stay exceptional, though, was Mario. From the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond to take care of us. He met us in the piazza where our taxi dropped us off and helped us carry our luggage to the hotel, which we greatly appreciated given Matera’s many steps and stone streets! He was also incredibly helpful during our stay, including assisting us with restaurant reservations. The combination of the beautiful cave accommodations, wonderful location, and genuinely personal hospitality made this one of the memorable stays of our trip through Italy. We would highly recommend Cenobio to anyone visiting Matera and would happily stay here again."

"Brilliant hotel has everything needed, unfortunately they was doing works on bottom floor but can only imagine how beautiful it will look when done. Reception staff could be a little more friendly as I did ask a question one morning about getting to a town and had eyes rolled at me. But overall clean and nice hotel definitely want to return."
