Japanese traditional style
It was Japanese traditional style hotel as “Minsyuku”. The location is very good to go to “Oshino-Hakkai” as one of would heritages. There are very closely and we can go to there by work for ten minutes only.
Our first time to Japan and this was our second lot of accommodation. The snow was quite thick when we were there and great consideration was shown for us by ensuring snow was cleared so we could get in and out to sight see, including helping us de-snow our vehicle. We were very grateful. As we were a big group, we were placed away from most other guests, which was just as well because with being very snowy and therefore getting dark earlier also, we spent a rowdy night with drinkies and our group got quite loud (happy NZ loud ;-)) There were male and female separated onsen which were our first introduction to onsen and they were great! The whole place was clean. tidy, well stocked. The lady of the house provided us a free breakfast even though we did not order it, as due to snow, both she and we would not have been able to get out and find breakfast elsewhere. Although a little out of the way (hence hiring a vehicle), this was a great accommodation spot.
