Free shuttle was a plus for me. There's a konbini inside the hotel so it was great because we woke up in the middle of the night and had our favorite egg sandwich. And there's also a coin laundry and an onsen. Will definitely stay here again next time.

Great value & location. Fresh towels provided daily. Filling buffet breakfast in adjacent cafe/restaurant. Staff very efficient & helpful. No in room coffee or tea, but free drink machine (soft drinks & coffee) on 2F lobby. Inexpensive washer & dryer as well.

It is close to the shopping area, but I am not comfortable in our room. But all the staff are nice. They don't have a parking place for a vehicle that is bigger than a standard car. Overall, I am okay in our stay there.

A bit overprice

Not a very good experience as the window has no view, even there is a window there. So you can only know daytime or night time inside your room. However, the location of this hotel is very convenience. Considering this is for 2-night stay, I would say it is a fine option.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Hillarys. A double twin room was a bit small for four of us but that’s my fault for not considering how big a twin bed is. The area is excellent with lots of restaurants and amenities nearby, nightlife and shopping in Den-Den Town for those who like anime, manga and video games. Namba and Nippombashi stations are a bit of a walk away but nothing too onerous. Thanks!

There is 2 double beds. Good view of the harbour. Close to shopping, restaurant and transportation. Door of bathroom has issue in closing.

We loved the drink station and bike rental. Very clean and friendly staff. I did not like how hard the mattresses were. Woke up with back pain daily. Room was too small for 4 people and luggage.

The hallway smelled strong of tobacco, it even got to the inside of our room which was uncomfortable for all of my family. The breakfast was very good and the employees were amazing; however, I just wished they did something about enforcing the non smoking policy. It was an alright experience.

Very well located on the mainstreet of Nipponbashi that is the heart of anime culture in Osaka. Also on walking distance from another important central location / traffic center, Namba. Little bit further away, but still on walking distance is the Shin Sekai, and the Zoo. The lobby area had a complimentary non-alcoholic drink bar, with infinite amounts of free drinks, like soda, coffee etc. freely available, which is a big plus. There was also actual lobby area where one could spend time at, which I don't see so much in Japan, as most lobby areas seem to be more like walkthrough area. Newspapers were available, and some sort of Oxygen chamber that looked interesting, but I did not try it.. The room was a bit worn down. Only minor complaint I could think of (but I did not bring it up with the hotel personnel) was minor hygiene details. Like the hotel table had round cup stains and such from previous guest. I made sure to have the table empty so housekeeping could clean it during their cleaning, but the same stains were still on the table even after housekeeping cleaned the room. Also there was gathered dust on the AC system surface, and at the start there was a slight smell of burned / dry dust with the AC, but that went away with use. All in all good hotel I would revisit again for it's central location on Nipponbashi and close to Namba. Good small details like the complimentary drinks, actual lounge area , and so forth.

Great for those on a budget

Easy to find. Good location. Check in went quickly. Was informed we had a smoking room which we didn’t book. Unfortunately a nonsmoking room wasn’t available and unable to change to one when one became available. Bathroom resembled an inside cabin cruise ship. Very tight. Window was glazed where one is unable to see out. Closet space allowed 3 shirts and a bottom to be hung. They do housekeeping every three days. Clean towels are delivered daily regardless if you need them. They provide drinks in the lobby. Cups provided are sample size so it’s better to bring your own. They have washers and dryers available. Detergent is provided for free. Ran the dryer three cycles then changed to another dryer which finally dried my small load. Check out was quick. We observed luggage in the lobby being held for patrons. There’s one elevator for 8 floors.
