"I have stayed at the Santa Maria Inn multiple times for business and recently for personal reasons due to a family loss. Based on past positive experiences, I recommended it to my family for a family service. Upon arrival at 2:00 PM, I requested a slightly early check-in but had to wait until 3:00 PM, causing me to be late for the service. Even then, the room was not ready, and I had to return later to check in. I discovered the room had a single king-sized bed instead of the reserved two queen beds. The front desk apologized and offered a rollaway bed, which was not ideal. At midnight, we faced a door issue; the rollaway bed blocked access, and the upper latch was engaged. My keycard didn’t work on the second door. A staff member made new keycards but couldn’t open the door, requiring an engineer’s help at 1:15 AM. Despite the staff’s efforts, the experience was disappointing due to the series of issues, including not being able to check in on time and not receiving the reserved room. "
