As our family gets larger, we need a place to stay. We’ve been coming to Orange for over 40 years. This house is close to town but set back in a quiet rural area. Plenty of bedrooms and beautifully decorated.
We needed a quiet place to escape for a few days and this home did not disappoint! The home was perfectly clean and had ample room for gathering - 3 living rooms to be exact! The screened in porch was amazing and we enjoyed exploring the surrounding property. I let my children wander as far as they wanted, as long as they could still see the red barn, which gave them some much needed freedom. If this home was for sale, we'd buy it in a heartbeat!!
We were extremely pleased with how clean the property was. Also for my family with multiple generations the separations of spaces was ideal! Beautiful setting and was a perfect location for our weekend events.
The house was amazing - beds comfortable, plenty of space and so clean! Close to everything we needed for our weekend stay while attending a family wedding. The only thing was the alarm system went off each morning around 6:20 am and we weren’t sure why (motion detector in basement but we didn’t know how to avoid that) - but that didn’t ruin a thing.
The home is beautiful and very spacious. It is close to restaurants and a grocery store. We used this property as a central location to visit Monticello, Jamestown, Williamsburg, Mount Vernon and other historical sites.
A beautifully decorated home. Seven beds provide space for your family and friends to have a large get-together. Home is ideally located, yet on a large wooded lot with wildlife. Minutes from town, but feels like much further because of no traffic noise. The home has the living area in the center with bedrooms on either side, allowing for privacy among groups of people.
This was a great property for my family and I while we were in town for a wedding. House was huge and so many living spaces, with 7 adults and 1 child, we all had so much space to ourselves! The only suggestion I have is for the downstairs: we were there when it was 90 out and it was very humid downstairs. The WiFi also did not extend to the basement. Otherwise this was a wonderful house and great stay!
The place was spacious and comfortable, but halfway through our five day stay with 11 people gathered for the Thanksgiving holiday, the water totally stopped and then was running smelly and totally brown. The owner was responsive (the management company was not!), and they had water running again the following afternoon. We had to scramble to find other places for everyone to shower and had to use bottled water for everything (including toilets) in the meantime. We were told the water was fine the next day after a chlorine shock, but after some tummy issues in the group, we researched it and realized that was bad advice. We totally get it - things happen. But after two weeks of claiming a partial refund was in processing to compensate for the trouble, we were stonewalled and given the run around. We have run vacation rentals ourselves and would not have treated guests like this at all.
