Lovely overnight double room with en-suite
This room is the Vestry added on, circa 1935 to an old Presbyterian Church built in 1897. The church is in an old gold mining town called Ophir. The village still retains an old Post Office, hall, hotel, antique/collectable shops, new and old houses for permanent residents and holiday homes. During the summer months, the local swimming pool is filled for use by locals and visitors ( $1 donation per head ).

Unique stay in vestry
A small, pretty, old NZ home-style bedroom with ensuite shower.
Beautiful gardens with sitting area.
We would be happy to stay again in this unique vestry

Room was way too tiny. No easy chairs to sit in. I had my morning coffee sitting in the ute. Parking was round the back from the door and the path too it had hanging branches to contend with. No recycling for us onsite. Owner was nice. Of the 4 places we stayed for the rail trail this was the only one that didnt exceed expectations. It was the dearest too. We would not stay there again.
