"This should be a better review but there were weird issues with this property. The thermostat did not work and we ended up sleeping with the windows open to cool off. The hair dryer would only function for 30 seconds at a time and needed three minute time outs to work again. Needed to request shower gel, pillows and coffees twice before it was handled at 10 pm after a long day."

"Great front of house staff. Great vibe to the hotel. The 2 small things that would make me not book this hotel again. 1. The pillows were super soft and gave me a neck ache. I asked if they had others, but they said no. 2. The curtains didn’t fit the windows, so it wasn’t a black-out room. The sun came beating in super early and woke me up."

"This is a great base for Berlin close to the Zoo. Modern, friendly interior, good value, great beds and our room faced the very quiet inner courtyard - we could sleep with an open window. They contribute profits to the Ernst Reuter Fund for democratic initiatives, which adds to the feel good factor. Didn't use breakfast but looked good standard. Helpful and friendly receptionist."

"The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast is very good with a large variety of items. The interior is aesthetically pleasing, especially the dining area is very beautiful. The setting is wonderful with a lot of green and the Teltow Kanal right along the property. Listening to the birds outside through the open window in the morning was wonderful! Otherwise, the room was very quiet with only a few sounds coming from outside the door during my stay. To my surprise there was a massage chair in my room! Overall I would highly recommend this facility! There were a few things I would mention though. The side of the bathtub, where the shower is located, is very high with only limited places to hold onto, and the bottom of the bathtub is very slippery. I suggest getting an accessible room if you don't want the risk of slipping when getting in and out of the bathtub. Parking was difficult due to some cars being parked in two spaces and overall not enough parking spaces being available, especially during events or conferences. The secondary lot on site gets very muddy in the corners. When the second lot was also full, I had to park across the street in a time limited parking area. This happened several times during my stay. Thankfully I did not get a ticket! The bed linens are washed with a perfumed detergent. Consider requesting hypoallergenic linens for people who are sensitive to perfumes or strong detergents."
