If you’re interested in stretching your holiday budget, bundle your hotel and flights into a neat Oman Holiday Package. You can also add experiences and car rental — you’ll have that itinerary sorted in no time! Need some inspiration? Add a dolphin tour off the coast of Muscat to your flights and hotel package.
Day 1-2: Start your journey in the serene seaside capital, Muscat. Search for treasures in the city’s many souks (open markets) before checking out the beautiful adjoining city of Old Muscat. Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and the stunning Royal Opera House are must-sees while you’re here.
Day 3-4: Rent a car and venture onward to Nizwa, one of Oman’s oldest cities. Nizwa Fort, Jabreen Castle, Al Hoota Cave and Sultan Qaboos Mosque deserve to be on your itinerary here.
Day 5-6: Continue to the Al Hajar Mountains. Home to Oman’s tallest mountain, Jabal Shams, this area is a popular stop with travellers. For a view you won’t forget, take a hike on the Wadi Ghul Balcony Walk. Also set aside time to visit Wadi Bani Khalid, a beautiful desert oasis.
Soak up the diversity of Oman’s culture and traditions at Muscat Festival. It’s held between January and February each year.
