The villa is exactly as described, spacious, beautifully maintained, and set against stunning ocean views that made every morning feel special. The private pool was a highlight and offered a peaceful place to relax throughout the day.The host and the staff made our experience exceptional. They were warm, attentive, and consistently went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. From daily service to helpful guidance, everything felt seamless and stress‑free.The location, the views, the comfort of the villa, and the level of service all exceeded expectations. This was truly a five-star experience. The House of Mermaids is the perfect blend of beauty, privacy, and exceptional service. This property is perfect for anyone looking for a luxurious, quiet, and well‑supported Caribbean getaway. I highly recommend this beautiful villa for anyone seeking a luxurious Caribbean escape! "This was truly the best vacation we have had. My wife and I renewed our vows with just a small gathering of our kids and grandkids and all I can say is this is a great value! The home is beautiful, the staff is wonderful and Glenda was a joy to work with throughout the booking phase and all the way through the entire trip. I cannot say enough. Also, the meals the staff made for us were absolutely amazing! They catered our renewal of our vows ceremony and the meal was delicious and they even set it up nicely. It was just such a nice surprise and certainly was not expected but that’s just who they were…generous beyond words."

"Group of 15 (5 kids 11-16 & 1 vs 0 18)House: beautiful and clean. 6 rooms, each has a balcony and view of the oceanPool: Pool is nice and was cleaned twice a week. Hot tub was warmer than the pool and they made it hot when asked, which made it more fun in the rain.Staff: Fantastic! Absolutely amazing! The 2 ladies would cook/clean during the day time hours. Kept it very clean and cooked great. Individual meals or large family style meals. They had some favorite options written down to help choose. They would give us lists of ingredients and either us or them would buy. One person sprained her cancel and stayed home alone from an activity and they waited on her to the point she was super happy not to have gone on the activity. We had a few sick people and the staff was extremely helpful as well. A little Spanish helps (house manager speaks English well), but the staff is so kind and patient with this that Google Translate is great.The security guard was a great addition even though I thought we were pretty safe without him. The neighborhood seemed the safest in all of Puerto Plata.House Manager was very helpful with information, transportation and quick to respond. Their excursion guy was very helpful as well. "
