Perfect stay in Obihiro
Perfect location, lots of restaurants around, public bath is good, not crowded at all Japanese comic books are available in resting area and free to read, good news for comic fan!

Ramen is free of charge
They provide a ramen free of charge. It was good. And, there a Japanese tradition room. I booked it. It was also good.

nice Hot spring!
The room is clean and also has sliding door to separate the bed room and bathroom/powder room. Hence you can hardly hear the sound from the corridor outside. Quiet. The hot spring bath is nice and very relaxing with sauna and also TV to watch while being in the hot bath... love it! There’s free ice cream and drinks to cool your body down after hot bath!

Nice centrally located hotel with hot spring bath
We stayed at two Dormy Inns during a seven week stay in Hokkaido -- in Abashiri and Obihiro. They're a nice hotel; clean and well located with bonus of the indoor/outdoor hot spa and sauna, free ramen in the evenings and free tea/coffee in the lobby. Double rooms are on the small side, typical of Japanese hotels. Definitely recommend.

Nice hotel in a quiet location close to amenities
Dormy Inn Obihiro Hotel is in a quiet area but within walking distance to restaurants, department stores and the Obihiro Train Station. As with all Dormy Inn hotels, the double room is just sufficient for 2 people but is clean. I like that there is another wash basin in the room so I can wash my face and brush my teeth when my hubby is using the toilet. Breakfast was very good and there is free ramen between 9-11pm for those who enjoy supper. We enjoyed the onsen too. We arrived on a Sunday and some roads around the hotel were closed (not sure if it is routine) so it took us some time to get to the hotel car park across the road. Parking is 700 yen for a day.

Hotel is far from the JR station. Walking distance above 15min. Breakfast has very limited choices. Staff cannot understand English and hard to communicate with even basic English. A staff even gossip in front of the guests which is really impolite and unacceptable. This hotel is only suitable for local business purpose. I will never stay again and won’t recommend to foreign tourists.

Very good Dormy Inn
This is definitely one of the nicer Dormy Inns. Because it is new, facilities are an improvement over other older Dormy Inns. Nicer rooms although equally small. Good location too, not one of the Ekimae (Front of Station) hotels, but easy walk to and from Station (and bus terminal).

Best lower-price hotel I have stayed in.
This hotel has the best cost-quality ratio of any hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff are well trained, friendly and very competent. The room was good: a comfortable bed; an accesible desk plus a separate table and chair; adjustable air temperature and a window that can be opened a little to get fresh air; genuine high-speed internet. Coffee and a ramen late night snack are provided for free. The public bath area is well equipped with amenities and towels.

Excellent location, just 5min walk from JR station or bus terminal, easy to locate Like the free night snack (ramen) provided 21:30~23:00. Spa area is a bit small but ok if u go there at late night when it's less crowded. Room is a bit small but clean. Good that they provide different kind of pillows. 2nd time to stay at dormy inn, love this brand.

I always enjoy my stays at the Dormy Inn. This time I was able to try the complimentary "midnight noodles". Tasty and convenient. The onsen is well supplied, and the hotel staff are always very helpful and pleasant.

A midscale business hotel with a sense of fun
Very similar to other Dormy Inns, this is midscale hotel, but rather than being just another boring business traveller hotel, their onsite onsen (cold and hot indoor, and hot outdoor) and sauna and free ramen noodles every evening from 2130 to 2300 inject a bit of fun and ability to infomally socialise with other guests if you want to. The room itself is well appointed, and instead of the usual modular plastic bathroom the shower and toilet are enclosed whereas the washbasin is just outside in the entrance lobby which somehow creates a bit of a sense of more space in what is a small room as is usually the case in Japan. There are microwaves, ice making machines and vending machines available on various floors - check the floor guide in the lift to find out where they are. The only negative comment I can make is that the Wifi at Dormy Inn Obhiro was slow and it slowed to a crawl in the late evening. Overnight parking was JPY600 in a Tower Parking system, just pay at the front desk. Although Obhiro itself its not a major tourist destinatiion we were using it as a overnight stop on a roadtrip around Hokkaido, and had stayed at a number of Dormy Inn properties, and apart from the slow Wifi the service offered by the Dormy Inn Obhiro was consistant with the other properties and did not disappoint.

The room was tiny by North American standards, but had all that a single person might need, and the bed was as comfortable as any I have found in Japan. The onsen was also very pleasant. All of the staff that I dealt with, from the front desk to the parking attendants, were efficient, polite, and spoke enough English to make life easy for me.

Another great stay at a Dormy Inn
We really like the dormy inn. The onsen is wonderful, free laundry (dryer costs 100 yen for 20 minutes and there are 5 washing machines and 5 dryers), nice seating area on the 2nd floor and free ramen from 9:30pm to 11:00pm. Right across the street from the shopping area. It appears you can park for free a couple of blocks away near Central Park.

Convenient and clean
The hotel was rathe clean. Furthermore free coffee was available at certain times, as well as, free ramen for supper. The spa has both indoor and outdoor facilities so that both relaxation experiences are available.

Just a quick stay between Obihiro and Chitose the night before we flew to Osaka, Kansai. Wanted to try the food court and it being a sister city to our hometown, (Madison, WI) we had a nice stay.
