Top Oberle-Watkins Park Hotel Reviews
Hu. Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The Hu Hotel was very nice. We only stayed one night but the staff was friendly and helpful. Parking is a little chaotic and you have to pay for it.They have an incidentals fee that covers the parking but would have been nice to know ahead of time. We slept in so did not pertake in the buffet breakfast. The rooftop bar is very nice and had great scenery. Hotle is within walking distance of good food and entertainment. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would probably book again if we pass through Memphis!"
"One of the best places we've stayed for the price. Large room, had the king bed. Little kitchenette, fridge. Big bathroom. Walking distance to food, Beale St or stay in and use facilities. "
"Location was close to practically everything you could need. Check in (& out) was easy, hosts communicated quickly, roomie house for our family visit, and the neighborhood was good. Appreciated being able to bring our dog too, thank you! "
"My sister, cousin, and I stayed here for 9 days, and truly enjoyed the stay. We were visiting family in Memphis for the holidays, so it was great to have a place that the three of us could have on our own for a respite from the many holiday gatherings. We appreciated the use of the kitchen and game room for relaxing mornings and evenings after visiting family. The home is well appointed, with three bedrooms and two full baths and additional power room, so it was a very comfortable stay for three Gen-X women. We also really appreciated the garage for the rental car. The location can’t be beat. For me, it was better than being in Cooper-Young, because I enjoyed the river walk daily for exercise. Also it was fun to drop into the small grocery at the end of the walk. The Bass Pro Shop at the Pyramid is a 3 minute drive away. We bowled there and shopped. Also, on my walk, I noticed that the American Cruise Line river cruise docks at the end of the walkway, so this house would be a great location for a few days before or after the cruise to enjoy the Memphis sights. Overall, really enjoyed the stay here. Definitely will consider staying here again when visiting Memphis for long stays. "
Spacious 4-bedroom house in delightful Memphis with AC, WiFi
4/10 Poor
"Host sent code to get into the house prior to arrival and that process went well. This property was advertised as sleeping 17, which was not accurate. There were 2 bedrooms with 1 single bed and 2 bedrooms with 2 double/ full beds. Which was only enough for 6 guest. My youngest had to sleep on the couch! Sheets were dirty with stains, hair and crums. Fortunately we all had a travel blanket and slept on top of the covers. Towels provided did not smell fresh or clean. All the rugs in the house were dirty and there were hairs on the bathroom floors. I had to vacuum the entire house upon arrival. The house was rather quaint and was a decent property, unfortunately the uncleanliness and false advertising was disappointing. We did reach out to the host and they did respond and apologized for the uncleanliness and hoped that it was okay for the time being. The street noise was very loud and made it difficult to sleep at times. The area was monitored with blue lights which was a little concerning, but once we were in the house we did feel safe with the security system. Besides the appliance almost everything was new in the house. There was also not enough dishes for more than 4 people so we had to was dishes in order for everyone to eat. A washer and dry would be beneficial to the property as there is no way I would have felt safe to do coin laundry in the area! "
