The property is a bit old and gloomy. But the room was clean and spacious and well kept. Convenient location, there are several good restaurant right across the street from the hotel. Also a mile away from a target if you are running low on personal care items.

It's a basic hotel that accepts pets for an extra fee. The free breakfast is worth every penny (went elsewhere). I mean, for a reasonably priced hotel, it's fine... the place felt safe and there were some restaurants in walking distance.

Stayed here two nights for CAL University Homecoming Weekend. Hotel grounds are clean and staff were professional. We felt safe staying here. Plenty of parking. Rooms were clean. Hotel provides breakfast but the selection is lacking, no eggs, no apple juice and no pancakes. They had coffee, toast, waffles, cereal, bagels. There are restaurants near. Overall, nice budget hotel, we felt safe and its close drive or bus ride to CAL. Go Bears!!!!

Great location, safe and wonderful staff. Rooms are comfortable. Breakfast was very basic and workout room not very well air-conditioned so it was pretty stuffy. Otherwise I would choose to stay here again in the future.

Room, bed and sheets clean and comfortable. Parking for free huge plus in Berkeley! Staff nice. Breakfast was simple but perfect to start the day. Room 227 needs slight improvement, sink slow drains, refrigerator not very cold, bathroom door hard to close. Air conditioner old and loud but kept steady cooling throughout night. Shower must have recently been remodeled, the shower had incredible water pressure!
