Loved it!
We loved our stay at Josephplatz. As a family, we stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment and it was great for us to have seperate spaces. It was warm but the fans and windows really made it comfortable. The elevator is tiny and took a few trips to get everything up but that was no problem.

Property is located centrally in the Alt Stadt and therefore the central areas and attractions can be located by walking around mostly pedestrianised areas. The main railway station (Hauptbahnhof) is 15min walk away, with a similar journey time by U-bahn to the airport. Very good breakfast and service in general in the hotel, with a good sized room. The only negative point is that the hotel is located on a one-way street on one side of a small square, and from late evening onwards, it was noticeable how noisy it was outside from traffic noise, cars playing music loudly, people shouting/talking loudly etc. A room away from the street would be better.

A. It is not clear that an adequate number of smoke and carbon monoxide detectors have been installed in the rooms and hallways B. Missing laundry! The staff runs an inhouse service for personal clothes items. Fewer items were returned to me than I turned in for cleaning. When I inquired, I reported that the form I filled out listed more items than came back. The staff was intransigent in their denials that something was wrong

Centrally-located boutique hotel
Central location, clean room, well-priced and varied mini-bar, great sauna, nice terrace for smokers. Parking garage is a five-minute walk. Informative receptionists.

Amazing hotel

Best hotel
Our stay was amazing. The room was very spacious for a family of 5. The breakfast was delicious and I loved how they made us feel right at home. For breakfast. They would have our table with a high chair al set up and ready for us. It is located in the center of all the attractions. I highly recommend this hotel!

Breakfast was very good; dining room was cozy, boutique-y. My room was small but didn't feel so; it was efficient, clean, and quite pleasant. I used the sauna one evening after a long cold day of strolling, felt great. The Hotel am Josephsplatz is a great respite from soulless chain hotels. I recommend this hotel for all at any budget.

Good stay for one night
Hotel was great for a night. Breakfast was adequate, and it was close to the center of town. While they had double windows, the hallways were loud all night long with doors slamming and locks opening/ closing.

Good location, good breakfast!
The hotel decor is a little dated but it’s also got charm because of that. The rooms were plenty big however they were hot, 2 of the 3 rooms had the use of fans, the windows and fans going made it bearable to sleep. Breakfast was a good selection of meats cheeses and tasty bread and rolls, fruits etc. The location was great, an easy walk to everything that we wanted to see and easy access via foot to the train station. Overall a cute non chain hotel to stop in.

Great location. Charming old world independent hotel. Staff are fairly friendly. Good breakfast Bathroom and shower pressure are excellent. Bed is smaller than single. More like a mattress top for a cot. Provides no support or comfort.

At the beginning when I arrived the hotel, I was pleased by the decoration and the atmosphere inside. I like the room I stayed. It's big and comfortable. However, I wasn't really happy with the staff. I know my reservation was including breakfast and I also know the breakfast time is till 11. If the time is due, I don't mind to find other food outside but a staff called me at 10.30 to ask me to have breakfast. Then I went to the dining room and there was 2 or 3 staff standing there and waiting for me. After I finished one plate I went to take toast and I was standing there waiting for the toaster. There came a staff to tell me if I want something else I have to take them at one time cos they are gonna close. I told her I'm just waiting for my toast and she gave me a big smile. It was a terrible experience. I had a stomachache after the meal because I feel stressed during the breakfast. I don't understand what is wrong if I don't go for breakfast. The hotel called me make me feel like I'm spied. Is it really necessary to keep 'reminding' your customers to hurry up and make them feel stressed in order to make them have such experience? I was there for traveling and relaxing instead of being stressed. I think you don't have flexibility and the discipline is too strict. You tried to be polite so you gave me a smile but it is not polite at all. I just feel it's too fake. I won't recommend anyone who wanna be relaxed choose this hotel because you might be reminded if you're 'late'.

Great hotel for the price. The location was right near the old town and very close to a subway station. The only drawback would be the lack of aircon.

Nice hotel, very professional staff.
Great local just out of the main tourist hustle and bustle. Terrific local restuaunts and tons of shopping. Staff very knowledgeable of food and transportation options. We would stay here again.
