"We had a fantastic stay at Sky Lodge. The view is beautiful and the room is 5 star for Tonga! The staff are very friendly and helpful. I wish I found this place earlier.
Thank you for having us."

"We booked our stay for 10 days. The days flew by as we enjoyed our room, shower, fan, and proximity to the beach. Paea and her kids were so kind to us! "

"Easy to book. Map was not accurate but we found it in the end! No wifi available. Rooms all clean and the property was well furnished. Excellent support from the property manager in the adjacent property who went above and beyond. Couldn't recommend her highly enough."

"Great location for exploring Nuku’alofa. ( can easily walk into town, markets, supermarket, cafes). Nice outside dining area. Really set up for four or fewer people so we didn’t have enough beds, cutlery, etc for 6baby. Tonga is very basic with minimal infrastructure so keep this in mind when booking anywhere, it’s common for this ‘basic’ to be ‘not functional’. Hosts responded very quickly to messages. "

"We enjoyed our stay at Simon's Place, however there are a few areas that we feel the owners may want to address:
1. Carpets in the rooms – The carpets in the rooms appear quite worn and would benefit from either replacement or a thorough dry clean. We stayed in two rooms and also saw another room booked by friends, and the condition was similar across them.
2. Televisions in the rooms – Adding TVs in the rooms would improve the guest experience.
3. Breakfast options – It would be great to see more substantial breakfast options available, such as eggs or bacon, rather than the current limited selection.
4. Airport transfer communication – It would be helpful to clearly inform guests in advance if there are transfer charges for airport pick-ups. After several unanswered emails, this came as a surprise.
Front desk customer service – Unfortunately, we experienced an interaction with desk staff that felt lacking in empathy, faka'apa'apa (respect), and tauhi vā (maintaining respectful relationships). When we were asked to pay $50 for a late check-out for my father on the final day—while we were attending family funeral arrangements—the situation was handled in a way that felt dismissive and was followed by laughter with other staff, which was disappointing.
We share this feedback in the spirit of helping improve the experience for future guests. Sometimes playing the long game with customer relationships can lead to returning visitors to both your hotel and

"Local family owners who were really friendly, helpful and connected. Allowed us to participate in an unveiling ceremony of local art and even took us to their Church service on Sunday morning which was really special. Only $8 taxi ride to town when we needed to go, although most local operators were happy to drop off and pick up. Would definitely recommend to whanau and friends."
"3-star at best and that's being generous. The walls are not insulated from noise. Old outdated furnishing, pillow cases seemed clean, but stained, sheets torn in places, ceiling, walls and wood trim peeling in places, bathroom fan didn't work, towels felt like sandpaper, strong smell of disinfectant, TV was broken, they couldn't fix it and wouldn't replace it, just said "oh well," sketchy wifi, but nice staff-Nai is awesome, good AC and close to the ocean. You could do better with a different hotel, one that actually provides the services that it advertises."

"We had a wonderful week in Tonga. Felt very safe here. Appreciated the air conditioning!Very comfortable with everything we needed and a fresh food market and grocer at the end of the street. We were very lucky to have the owner’s Dad staying in the downstairs flat. He looked out for us and was very helpful."
