"Wonderful stay! Very beautiful and charming hotel. Seems like hotel is an iconic, historic property. Staff was kind and considerate. Very beautiful property with a lovely garden and presence. Very easy (and free) parking onsite. Room was comfortable. Bathroom was a good size, with wonderful natural light. Shower pressure was excellent. Not too far from Ortigia (approximately 1 1/2 miles). If you have a car, can drive from hotel and park near Ortigia and enjoy nearby sites. Breakfast was above average with coffee/tea, juices, hard boiled and scrambled eggs, toast, pastries and fruit and cheese. Enjoyed offerings for breakfast. Would stay here again!"

"Breakfast menu was fresh, delicious and varied.Eggs any style are made to order. Staff very attentive. Location of hotel is perfect for overlooking the bay and at night for cocktails at the rooftop lounge and restaurant. Hotel is well located for visiting Ortygia with many nearby restaurants and shops. "

"We rented two rooms. The staff were wonderful and very helpful! The location was excellent with great views of the sea and convenient walking distance to cafes and restaurants. We would have really liked to have a coffee maker in the room. We were not interested in the full breakfast, but would have liked to have coffee in our rooms without getting fully dressed, leaving the building and visiting the hotel's other building across the street just to have a cup of coffee. Also, the showers are really awkward to get in and out of because of the accordion glass doors. In one of our rooms, the drain must have been clogged, because the water filled up in the bottom of the shower and almost overflowed before the user was finished using the shower."

"The hotel is beautiful and the first night I was there I was in a really cool room with a loft. I left for a week and then came back and stayed another night. This time the room was underneath the restaurant and was super loud until well after 11 PM. But overall, it’s a lovely property and very well located."

"Friendly staff throughout. Restaurant food was top notch, fab breakfast choice. Location excellent for archeological park and museum, short 30min stroll to Ortega. Couldn’t fault it. "

"We chose this hotel as it was a bit outside of the main centers of Syracuse and Ortigia. However, we were disappointed that they did not allow us to check in early, even though it was only about an hour to check-in time. They held our luggage for us but then when we left to get lunch to pass time so we could come back and check in, they forgot they had our luggage and were trying to show us straight to our room. The balcony, at least on the first floor, I wish we had not paid for, as it was not private and went straight to the pool area. Bathroom and room were just okay, nothing special. I would recommend maybe trying another accommodation to stay in."
