"It was okay for 1 night. I'm a 26 yr old female amd stayed in a mix gender dorm. I never felt unsafe inside the hostel. Its EXTREMELY warm in the common areas and they only have AC in the rooms (thank goodness) I slept on the bottom bunk and it was very comfortable. The person above was moving but the bunk beds are very solid. I didnt hear any creaking nor feel the movement (which i was anticipating) I came here for a concert at wrigley field and only chose this place for its location and price. Other hotels with private rooms were going for $400+ a night in the same area. I do think its way overpriced for what it is. $100+ for basically just a bed to sleep in. The staff were very helpful and nice. The reviews saying otherwise just come under prepared or dont read instructions beforehand. As I also work in hospitality (over 6 years) people usually blame the staff for their own lack of preparation. As long as you read the info the accommodation provides you'll be fine! "

"We loved this historic hotel. The staff was fantastic. It was clean. They had robes and a full and pretty reasonably-priced minibar and snack selection in the room. Our only issue was that the bathroom light was on a motion sensor that was set on a timer for about 3 minutes, so the lights kept going out when we were showering. Walkable to Wrigley. Great neighborhood. We felt safe. We would stay here again!"
