"The hotel was terrible. We were supposed to stay seven nights. We only lasted 3 nights. Our room was never cleaned despite our requests. It was 27.5 degrees in the room while it was 25 degrees outside. Impossible to air out the room. On top of that, this hotel had the bright idea of placing our room next to a noisy road, even though we were staying 7 nights and were entitled to a quieter room with the possibility of airing it out. "Really lovely stay and a great surprise. The room was much bigger than we expected and we were really pleased to find that the kids effectively had their own little room within our room, with really good-sized bunk beds. It made such a difference travelling as a family and everyone had plenty of space. The staff were absolutely outstanding, genuinely friendly, welcoming and helpful, and really added to our stay. The room was comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was excellent and, oddly important after a long day, the TV was simple to use without having to fight with it! One useful update is that the hotel does now have an alcohol licence, despite some of the information we received beforehand suggesting otherwise, so drinks are available from the bar added bonus. We were only there for one night but were genuinely impressed. It was excellent value for a family room and we would very happily stay again."

"Second time visiting this hotel after a gap of 5 years. I really wanted to give it 5 stars as it’s in a beautiful location and the main hotel is really very lovely. Particularly liked the drawing rooms downstairs for relaxing with a good book and the lovely gardens for afternoon tea and more. Steeped in history, I enjoyed reading about times gone by. Food was of a high standard across the board. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss with staff becoming overwhelmed quite quickly. However, having visited this hotel previously I was disappointed in the Spa. The facilities would benefit from a deep clean and some maintenance. As the spa is quite small and shared by hotel guests, day guests and members of the spa/gym membership, it can get very busy and crowded I found the towel on the hook situation a bit tedious, especially as a hotel paying guest. One day I went for a quick swim but left ntvggg bun"

"Lovely place to stay, has been converted beautifully. Comfy bed and Lovely bath! Only downside was we couldn't get the room to cool down, air-con seemed stuck. Would stay again and recommend. Breakfast was delicious 😋"

"Absolutely loved our apartment and our stay here! Loved all this! 5⭐️s Unfortunately, there was some heavy rain during our stay that caused a lot of leaks inside the main building and caused the outdoor cafe & kids area to close (unexpectedly, without warning)! Apparently this happens a lot when it rains heavily- we adjusted during our wonderful stay, so it didn’t impact us … but this does need to be addressed for anyone visiting with a young family - sorry! 5 ⭐️s from a 2 adult, no kids stay though … totally! 👍👏"
